YouTube...but the commercials are merciless if you don't subscribe. It's both commercial and private citizen uploads making it a platform to watch almost anything you could have an interest in. Like needlepoint? There are hundreds of videos on it. Have an interest in people making electricity from old motors? It's in there.

There are even some political and believer videos on there with the caveat that they have to tip toe around the social media police by saying things without really saying them if you know what I mean. Otherwise they will be censored.

I don't do television. Too many inappropriate shows on the television today. Television was ok back in the 50's and early 60's.

It depends who you live with.  I live with people that want to watch TV news all day long and I can't just interfere with that.  I hate all TV except cooking shows (and even then I am careful with what I watch).  I just watch Youtube channels I am subscribed to which are all Christian based programmes.  The problem there, as Starise mentioned, is that Youtube requires a hefty subscription to get rid of adverts and I don't want to waste money just for that.  So I endure the ads that come up.  I would really rather not though, as most ads annoy me.  My Holy Spirit radar starts beeping when I see a lot of that stuff.

Children do need decent programmes to watch.  But these days, a lot of it seems to be trying to indoctrinate them and the content leaves a lot to be desired of.

I haven't payed the subscription yet either. I wonder if they still manage to  get advertising in there even for paying customers?

That's what happens with my cable. I pay a hefty fee to have cable here and they still manage to bombard me with advertisements.
