Thank you for responding...

I tried to make a point as if we do not know what Hebrews wrote.

Without making reference to Hebrews...because the prophetic that "you are a Priest forever in the order of Melhisedec" was written before Hebrews...and to the people who believe that the Aaronic Priesthood and the Temple and the vessels and the Ark with it's context will continue forever as they also believe that the Covenant will last forever..

And the Priesthood it was appointed to each Priest to do the service for about 25 years and then to a point their Son waiting to succeed them. Melhisedec did not minister to God from a Temple...never offered sacrifices for the atonement of others...never followed a yearly religious Calendar or sanctified anyone...His contemporaries  like Abraham and the Hittites and the Servants of Abraham and Lot and the king of Sodom knew about him and his kingdom and I suppose they sent him gifts for his birthday... and they will continued their friendship with his children...their children with his children.

And as Abraham's children can tell others where Abraham was buried, they his children could also tell others where they buried Melhisedec their Father...

Why the prophetic "you are a Priest in the order of Melhisedec "...what Melhisedec did...that it can be used to identify the one for whom was told "you are a Priest in the order of Melhisedec".

Thank you for responding.

I hear you and have no objection. I would only like to add that a priest does not necessarily serve the Tabernacle/Temple. A priest is a mediator who brings God to men and men to God. As you said, the Aaronic priesthood were ordained to serve the House, but Christ has a different duty - as Hebrews 9:1-15 shows. He, being a Judean, could not serve the House made with hands. But His status allows him to bring His own blood into the heavenly Tabernacle. He must belong to another ORDER - the one Melchizedek belongs to.

But, of course, I do not fully understand this order. The grammar is difficult. "Order" means multiplicity and Melchizedek is name "man" by scripture. That means there are more men who have no beginning or end. Too much for my little brain.

@AdHoc I know that they are Zelots about everything there is to be and to have room for Zelots...so I have proposed to make my point without saying anything against any one whether alive or dead.

Fair enough. I join you. Thanks for your input. I enjoyed it.

Well, you appear to understand this conversation better than me. My brain is littler still.

You are losing me. I am having a difficult time understanding you.

My points were about the promises made to Abraham being fulfilled.

Ge 17:6  And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
Ge 17:16  And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.
Ge 35:11  And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins;

In speaking of Galatians, this same covenant speaks concerning the son of Hagar

Ge 17:18  And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!
Ge 17:20  And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

What it is you are saying I am not sure, but the above am I way off to your thinking?

God bless all the children of Abraham starting from Ismael the first born to Abraham...

But God have a special blessing only to Sarah...

God never mentioned the mothers of the other children of Abraham only mentioned their children they had with Abraham...their children were blessed as the children of Abraham...which was good that God did not slay or seek to harm them...only bless them with the promised that also out of them will rise new Kingdoms and Kings...

But the special promise was given to Sarah that out of the promise child will be born when she was very old...that out from her will come the man who out of him God will have a Nation for himself...God by blessing her he made her understood that God will have a Nation out of her only...and God wanted to have a Nation a people for himself...to ground Sarah that he will do what he promised her...if not he will be without a Nation...

The fact that he promised her that Kings will come out of her it is that the people of God from her Son to be born will not be extinct and will have many Kings because the Kingdom will last and last...

Melhisedec met mix people from different Nations not only from Abraham and his family (so to speak) because at that time God had seperated Abraham from the rest of the people of the earth.

And we have Melhisedec who had proposed to himself to bring bread and wine to all the people he met or will meet who were with Abraham...

Melhisedec distributed the bread and the wine to all the people without prejudice.

This is why he is mentioned in the prophetic "you are a Priest in the order of Melhisedec" referring to the one who was promised to come who will distribute the bread of Life to anyone without prejudice to include all the people from all Nations...to include the whole world....

The Hebrews knowing that Jesus did not have an earthly Father but he knew everything about Jesus Christ and Melhisedec...and he said what he said...to show that Jesus who was not from the Aaronic Priesthood will die for the forgiveness of our sins...and then distribute the bread of Life to all people...

That the Christ will not come from the Aaronic Preisthood...and the mystery that will live forever and the forgiveness of sins in his blood and God make him the Lord and Christ is included in Jesus being the bread of life because he offers the forgiveness of sins in his blood...

@Anne2 thank you for participating in the discussion...what I wanted to show to study the Prophetic about "you are a Priest in the order of Melhisedec" from the know how we have because we live after everything has happened after the fullfiment of the Prophetic written in the Psalms and without the influence of what Hebrew specific wrote about Jesus and Melhisedec because you understand that it is not easy to understand why he would say what he said and he said many good things...and we have the benefit of having the Gospels and particularly the Gospel of John chapter one...and the Gospel of Luke and all the Gospels something he did not have and inspite of that he was very blessed.

We know all about Jesus where he was born and from whom and how...and about the good news of the Archangel Gabriel to Mary...

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Gen 3: 15

In the first half of the verse God is speaking to the serpent whom he cursed and made to crawl on the ground and God describes what the womans seed will do the the now snake (bruise the head)

and God describes what the serpent ( now Snake) will do to the womans seed (bruise the heel)

two different actions from two different being toward each other

you quote last half of the verse. imo it is not correct

you have the "he" used to many times

you have the word "your" used to many times

"He shall bruise your head and he shall bruise your heel." (Gen 3:15)

@NConly Shows how Christ's victory at the Cross was already assured back in Genesis 3, right?

I wouldn't pick this verse for that purpose.

@NConly Some OT verses are more explicit than others but it's all part of evidence of the divine plan of redemption, gradually unfolded.........

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
