Jerusalem (The Woman) that (Great City) as seen below, Jerusalem where Jesus Christ was crucified

8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Jews/Hebrews cast dust upon their heads, weeping for the (Great City) Jerusalem

19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

Jesus was speaking of the history of killing righteous people, Jerusalem of His generation (of His first coming) was equally guilty, knowing that they would reject Him.

You missed out on the last verse...

Matthew 23:39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Jesus will return to Jerusalem in Zechariah 14, after the Jews will have turned to Jesus in Revelation 12:10 in the middle of the seven years.

Jerusalem of Jesus's generation (of his first coming) is not Mystery Babylon the Great of Revelation 17 and Revelation 18.

This is why the kings of the earth hate Babylon so much .Wouldn't you hate someone who is constantly afflicting you?According to scripture it get much worse.Especially after the two witnesses join in and practice their authority on his behalf.The nations hatred for Babylon will continue to grow till finally the kings of the Medes attack it.Did I mentioned the Medes have a passion to destroy Babylon?It's true.The Lord will use the Medes to repay Babylon for persecuting the body of Christ.

 

 

Jeremiah 51:11

“Sharpen the arrows, take up the shields! The LORD has stirred up the kings of the Medes, because his purpose is to destroy Babylon. The LORD will take vengeance, vengeance for his temple.

It's not dangerous in Babylon.

No one in Babylon is going to do anything to hurt the king. They only worry about the children being tracked because he wants to put it in the children first.

The two witnesses of Revelation chapter 11 doesn't join the antichrist as you suggest, they represent the Lord God Of Heaven and Earth

Well, those in Babylon will worship the king of Babylon.The nations around him just want to kill him and eventually will.
