I hope you respond to Mr M post/answer about this question because when I quoted you and gave the same verse you ignored me quoting you.

Im not talking about focusing on sin. when a person is saved they may only sin once a day, month, year; seems right to say to God one is sorry for stumbling or breaking fellowship by sin asking for forgivness.

Sorry - I don't think I saw your post. (when I logged on this morning I had something like 35 moderator notices to look at, so I know I don't always hit everything effectively . . .)  I'll go back and see if I can find it.

And the topic of confessing sins to God is one people have varied opinions on.  Personally, I know the blood of Jesus covers all my sins.  And the word translated "confess" means "to agree." That is, to agree with God that you've done something "off the mark" (the meaning of the word translated as "sin").

So I can just agree then with God that I was in error (sin) and thank Him that the ever efficacious blood of Christ avails here, and ask for His grace (favored supply) to work in me to not do it again.  Done!  He's happy and God is much more than my heart (if it still condemns me) as per  1st John 3:20.  Hallelujah what a Savior!  :hurrah:

And each and every opinion is tempered by

how each and every individual conducted themselves.

Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that you be not judged.

2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged;

and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

A fault finding believer is going to find the Lord to be

quite nit picky!

Matthew 18:

32 Then his master, after he had called him,

said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you

all that debt because you begged me.

33 Should you not also have had compassion

on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?’

34 And his master was angry, and delivered him

to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him.

35 So My heavenly Father also will do to you

if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive

his brother his trespasses.

There is no one standard of judgment, their is

one law of reciprocity, and we set the standard

for ourselves alone.

Well said!

The willful sin of a Gentile reaps the same result.

The willful sin of a Gentile reaps the same result.

So they need to repent and claim the blood of Christ, and ask for Him to work in them to not do it again. Or is there some other action you would recommend?

But because of what Christ did, when we sin we can simply say, "Lord, yes, I did it again.  Thank you for your precious blood which cleanses me from this.  I turn to you right now and come boldly to the throne of grace - help me and live through me so I don't do this again!  Thank you Jesus!"

1 John 5:16 If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin which does not lead to death, he will ask, and He will give him life for those who commit sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death. I do not say that he should pray about that. 17 All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not leading to death.

Asked and answered.

Be forgiving to others

Be merciful to others.

Not to mention your prayer of confession to the Lord is unscriptural. Confession is made to one another. This is how true accountability is established in the Body of Christ. Private prayer should preclude sin, not be a remedial action.

Psalm 19:

12 Who can understand his errors?
Cleanse me from secret faults.
13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins;
Let them not have dominion over me.
Then I shall be blameless,
And I shall be innocent of great transgression.

14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.

I have prayed through all the Psalms hundreds of times.

They do have a purpose!

"Sufficient for the day is the troubles thereof."

"Pray without ceasing"

Interesting - I'd not heard this interpretation before. So to clarify, this verse is talking about confessing sins to each other?

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.  1 John 1:9

Do you think this is the standard of judgement Christ will use at the Bema Seat judgement?  That is, according to how we have handled others?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
