What is God saying to us?

The world is clamoring as the people in fear or fury express their pent up emotions; the rulers are trying to calm the situation and many innocent people are caught in the cross-fire.

However, we know that our God is above the storm and we as His people need to know what He is saying to us at this time. 

 

I`ll start off with - `Be still and know that I am God.` We need to be still to hear the voice of the Lord.

 

What do you hear the Lord say? Please share -

Lot's of crickets on this one, Marilyn!

The Lord's voice comes to me in various ways.  Often it's an impression I have which corresponds to His word.  He also speaks to me through members of His body.

One thing recently I heard was regarding all the craziness and moral decrepitness I see being manifested all around: "Don't judge those on the outside (of the church)."   And I also hear, "Don't forsake the assembling."  

Look away!  Oh look away! Look to Jesus now, today!

Look away from everything unto Jesus, look away from everything to Him!

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. (Mt 24:6–8)

I share this from time to time on the forum in my posts, so I didn't think it was needful to repeat. However, it might be good to do that here. I considered sharing relevant scripture but I don't believe that's necessary. It should stand out to those who read:

Be a friend to the friendless. If there's a need I can meet, then meet it. The Lord doesn't require my hands, for He is not served by human hands (nor does He dwell in structures made by our hands); therefore, I serve the Lord by serving my neighbor. I serve Him by serving my brothers and sisters.

Forgive others as He has forgiven me, and love them as He loves me. Never forget what He has done, and abide in those words He has given to me. That in particular is what He has said to me recently, sister. What can I say? 

When I thought I was dead, He said I would live. This was true.

Before I came to this city He told me where to go, and what would happen when I arrived. This was proven true.

During the pandemic, before every COVID test I was required to take weekly, He told me what the result would be. I struggled to believe Him every time, but His words were proven to be true. I've never been infected with COVID and this made it possible for me to continue working at the shelter while all of my colleagues were out sick. I was the only one who was untouched.

When I thought life in a wheelchair was inevitable due to OPMD affecting my legs --- this happens to many who suffer from this type of muscular dystrophy --- the Lord said this would not be. Muscles affected by MD don't improve, they only degrade and atrophy, and I struggled greatly with His words. By the morning of following day, His words were proven true. My legs were strong again.

Abiding in His words is what I'm learning to do every day. It's not always easy, but I'm learning.

That is do good, `look away to Jesus,` and don`t judge. Yes, everyone is on the journey and it is only for us to pray for them.

Yes, Marathoner, 

We are not to forget the every day opportunities to help each other in the Body and those still in the world. Also, to not forget all His benefits to us over the years. This is what we should be focusing on and not the destruction of the world system.

I am not saying anything you do not already know AdHoc, but I would like to parse and comment on this verse for clarification for those unaware. This is another one of many biblical descriptions and signs given to know the season we are living in and that God is in control and directs the affairs of men.

Not everyone knows the English translation of the Greek word “nation” is éthnos, where we derive our English word ethnic, or ethnicity, racial cultures (black, white, oriental, Jew, Arab, Persian, etc.). Naturally, a kingdom would be an undivided territory under the dominion of a king, prince, monarch, dictator, Iman, or Ayatollah.

It reminds me of the dozens of ethnic and kingdom divisions of our day. Jew vs. Muslim, Arab, and Persian, Persians vs. Arabs, Shia vs. Sunni, communism-socialism vs. free market-freedom, Soviet Union and expansion, princely nations or states, North and South Korea, China-Taiwan, dozens of African ethnic and cultural tribal wars, and dozens more manifesting in our day.

Global aggression is picking up steam in these latter days. We are indeed hearing of wars and threats of wars. North Korean threats, China threatening Taiwan, Russian invasion of Ukraine, and threatening those that help Ukraine, a volatile Middle East, Iranian actions and threats. Threats of using nuclear weapons. On and on.

We live in exciting prophetic times.
