No, but in truth I have had difficulty with forgiving myself; and isn't that "self meanification"  a  sinful  waste of God's  Grace, and His mercy from everlasting to everlasting!

Yes, we must always remember who we are in Christ.   Children of God through what Jesus did for us.

I forgive easily. I guess I just take the words of Jesus and the Bible about forgiving very simply....and just do it.

Wisely put my friends....Have you noticed how many current movies are based on revenge and getting even for past wrongs?  We live in a world that nurtures grievances and retaliation.  I personally refuse to watch these movies, even though I tend to enjoy action films in general; but if they have this theme of personal vengeance, I decline to watch.

Some more verses that help one to forgive and move on...

12Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
Colossians 3:12:15

No point in not forgiving as you say it only hurts you and uses far too much energy to hold onto that hurt / grudge/ anger or any of the other emotions that go with it :emot-hug:

so, remember this when I pin you down and force you to say uncle :happyhappy:

I think unforgiveness throughout our life is probably the major cause of an unhappy and unrewarding life when we find ourselves living one.  It leads to all sorts of resentment, anger, hatred, anxieties and self destructive thinking filling out hearts without our even realizing it is doing so.

From my own experience, it's something I struggle with daily.

It's something we can free ourselves from through Christ, but only if we make the effort to do so as best we can.

Many years ago, before I experienced a spiritual transformation and got saved, I grappled with the challenging task of forgiving those who had deeply hurt me mentally. This inner turmoil continues to be a part of my journey as I pursue a career in ministry. Despite the ongoing mental struggles, I draw my strength from the Lord.

I can now proudly say that I've managed to find the strength to forgive and let go of the past, which has been a transformative and liberating experience. Amen!
