Jesus also said this,

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

He that doeth the will of his Father, and this is the will of his Father here

1 Thes 4:3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God

There will also be these sorts

2 Ti 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

Which might say otherwise, Paul says be not deceived by such

Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Cr 6:9

And again, when Jesus says

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Because many (not a few) would say unto him this

Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

These are they which in "Jesus name" are doing all these wonderful works while working iniquity

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

And Paul tells those who name the name of Christ (as believers) to depart from working iniquity

2 Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people,  zealous of good works.

As Paul tells them here to reverse course

Romans 6:19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to  uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

1 Thes 4:7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

Without which no man shall see the Lord

Where was the pure milk of the word in your reply? I may have missed it.

He states he is a Christian, but wants to willingly continue in fornication. And I was committing fornication earlier on in my walk,  and what I needed was a believer in Jesus Christ to rebuke me and tell me to change my course, to repent. THAT was both love for me (and for God) in so doing. That was caring for my soul.

Prov 27:5 Open rebuke is better than secret love.

Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

1 Ti 5:20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.

Hi @AFlameOfFire I have long thought that prayer and Bible study are far more effective than condoms. Inwardly and spiritually, prayer and the Word lead us to desire the ways of Christ and His work at the Cross.

farouk, why on earth would you bring up condoms in the context of fornication?

In what possible way is prayer and bible study "more effective" than a condom?

Because a condom is typically used to prevent a pregnancy  and so when you say prayer and bible study are more effective than a condom, how do you mean that? That prayer and bible study are a great contraceptive?

Because a condom isn't going to protect you from the fornication you are engaging in either so I just had to ask the question in what way?

Amen to the cross of Christ and our desires

Gal 5:4 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

@AFlameOfFire In relation to the subject you mentioned, what I meant was that among young ppl the most effective form of bc is prayer and Bible study. Perhaps our minds were not exactly on the same track, but this is what was meant, simply.

The most effective form of contraception (birth control) is an aspirin tablet... held tightly between the knees.

(old contraception clinic joke)

Ok so I am fornicating and I’ll go to hell?

No one here is qualified to condemn you to "hell". The best we can do is contribute our knowledge to your understanding of Christian doctrine - enabling you to make an informed decision for yourself.

The bad news is that we all start life on a ledger that eventuates in eternal condemnation (a.k.a. "hell"). The good news is that God has provided a mechanism to transfer us off this ledger, and onto a ledger that saves us from eternal condemnation, into eternal life with God. And that mechanism is available to everyone.

If one sincerely surrenders ownership of their life to Christ (i.e. making Jesus their Lord/Master/Owner) as a faith response to this good news (Gospel), then they will escape eternal "hell".

The raised question (that only you can answer) is, 'Where do you currently stand in this process?'. I note that earlier in the conversation you claimed yourself to be a Christian. This raises two possibilities:

Option 1: Your faith's confession to make Jesus your Lord was sincere.

We all come to God as flawed, corrupted, broken creatures - who need to be fixed. The moment we make Jesus our Lord, we are officially perfected. However, we still need to undergo the process of sanctification - whereby our wrong understandings, attitudes and behaviors are gradually corrected to reflect the influence of the indwelling Holy Spirit.

If this is you, then God is showing something that is wrong in your life that will eventually need to be corrected. You can waste time fighting it, or you can work with God to fix it. Remember that God always wants what is best for you. You can therefore trust God enough to pray that He would help you bring this aspect of your life into line with His will.

This might mean God gives your partner a desire to marry. But it might also mean God removes this person from your life. Or maybe God will change your heart - and give you a desire to remove yourself from the relationship. God's will is God's business - our part is to just trust Him to do what is best for us.

Option 2: Your faith's confession to make Jesus your Lord was not sincere.

Your decision to make Jesus your Lord was emotional, and temporal (not a forever decision). At the time, you were happy to give Jesus most of your life, but ultimately, there are some aspects of your life that you are determined to keep for yourself - and nothing God, nor anyone else, has to say will impact your decision.

If this is you, then you have not yet transferred between the above-mentioned ledgers. That is a far more dire circumstance than that of resisting sanctification.

Yes, fornication is a sin and the Bible says very plainly that if a person continues to sin, there is no sacrifice for him/her.    So, if you continue to sin, I believe the Bible  says you will go to hell.

Ok I mean a lot of people fornicate. I mean I guess I wonder if that verse states the law , so you know it’s a sin, but so long as you believe and ask for forgiveness you won’t go to hell?

Heb 10:26-31
For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,27  but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. 28  Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses. 29 How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has spurned the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him who said, "Vengeance is mine; I will repay." And again, "The Lord will judge his people." 31  It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
