1 Cor 15: 51-54

"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory."

@NConly I do also love how verses 57 and 58 tie into each other, in chapter 15 of 1 Corinthians:

"But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."

And when that will happen, is plainly told to us: Revelation 21:1-7  AFTER the Millennium.

The day that Paul describes in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 is the day that Jesus
comes to take firey vengeance. We know this because Paul says so in second Thessalonians, in 2nd Thessalonians Paul gives us more information on what he was talking about in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 :

"And to you who are troubled, rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed
from the sky with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance
on them that know not God and that obey not the good news of
our Lord Jesus Christ....

2 Thessalonians 1:7-8  {Revelation 19:17-21}

When He shall come to be glorified in His saints,
and to be admired by all them that believe

in that day {Malachi 4:3 Psalm 58:10}

2 Thessalonians 1:10

Wherefore we also pray for you,
that God would count you worthy of this calling

2 Thessalonians 1:11

Now we beseech you brethren,
by the coming of Christ,
and by our gathering together unto Him (clearly referring to 1 Thess 4:16-17)
That you be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled....
as that the day of Christ is at hand.
Let no one deceive you be any means
For that day shall not come until there be a falling away first,
and that man of sin be revealed

2nd Thessalonians 2:1-3

We see therefore that Paul ties our gathering unto Him
together with the Lords day of fiery vengeance.

It is on the day that Jesus comes to do vengeance
that we are gathered up into the clouds, in the air with Him.

This is contrary to commonsense, let alone scripture.

The terrible Day of the Lord's fiery wrath must be years before His glorious Return.

There is proper and logical sequence of the end times events. Making a mish-mash out of Prophecy is just confusion and error.

This is a combination of "I'm right, you're wrong," and a personal insult. Both of which are unprofitable on a forum meant to discuss biblical teachings logically and reasonably.

Sorry if you are upset, but it is the Prophetic Word that is correct. Where people think some Prophesies fit; is often wrong, as they are not stated as to when and it takes careful discernment to place them correctly.

It is evident that there are two separate ‘Days of the Lord’ in which the Lord acts to punish His enemies. The Sixth Seal, the Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath, is the next prophesied event that we can expect, of a worldwide judgement/punishment by fire from the sun, which will clear and cleanse the holy Land. Most clearly described in Isaiah 30:25-30, Isaiah 63:1-6 and Habakkuk 3:12 ‘Furiously You traverse the earth, in anger You trample down the nations.’  But the Lord is not seen: Psalms 11:4-6, Psalms 18:11

Then, much later, at the glorious Return of Jesus, is the Sixth and Seventh Bowl fulfilment, Revelation 16:17-24...the great Day of the Sovereign Lord, when He destroys the armies of the Anti Christ by the Sword of His Word – NOT by fire and chains Satan up.     Revelation 19:19-21,  Zechariah 14:3-5

In 2nd Thessalonians 1:7-10

Paul clearly says "And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from the sky with His mighty angels taking vengeance on them that know not God"

Therefore, clearly, when we rest,
is when the Lord Jesus comes to take vengeance.

The Lord shall cause His glorious voice to be heard...
with the flame of a devouring fire
Isaiah 30:30

For the Lord shall utter His voice, before His army
Joel 2:11

The armies in the sky followed Him on white horses...
Revelation 19:14

And the remnant were slain with the sword of Him
that sat upon the horse,
which sword proceeded from His mouth
Revelation 19:21

The terrible day of the Lords wrath is described in those above passages.

Then

1000 years Revelation 20:4-7

Then

The final destruction of everything
Revelation 20:9,  2 Peter 3:8-12

Then

New sky land and water
Revelation 21:1-2, 22:1

But it isn't the glorious Return, because the Lords wrath is over when the Great Trib finishes, Revelation 15:1

All the graphically described prophesies of a forthcoming Dai of disaster simply do not fit at the Return when Jesus will simply destroy the attacking armies at Armageddon, by the Sword of His Word.

Do you really think the Prophecy of Amos 5:18-20, happens as Jesus Returns?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
