Eftpos

In case I am not the only one;..."Card usage in Australia is on the rise. In 2022, according to the Reserve Bank of Australia, around 80% of payments over $10 were made via card, a proportion which has grown by 10% within just three years. With this growing ubiquity in mind, using EFTPOS to accept payments is paramount for your business to remain competitive."

Perhaps I still don't understand it; my gold dust in a sack isn't good anymore?

Another sumple guideline, if one hs need of one is from a church I associated with for a couple decades.

They did have a formal offering at each service. Plus a separate offering at Lord's Supper for the benevolent fund. They were slow to add credit credit card and other methods; but found that individuals wanted those options in order to better be systematic in giving.

From that church today  comes the following information:

A significant issue of one's personal Christian walk is how the believer practices giving to God through giving to their church monetarily. Below are some principles from the New Testament that LCC believes and teaches that guide our giving:

The purpose of our giving is to satisfy the needs of others so that God will be worshiped and glorified. (2 Corinthians 9:10-14)

We should give voluntarily and systematically. This helps us avoid covetousness and impulsive giving. (1 Corinthians 16:1; 2 Corinthians 9:5)

Our attitude is one of cheerfulness and joy, not under any kind of compulsion by another. (2 Corinthians 9:7)

We believe in giving sacrificially. (2 Corinthians 8:1-11)

As New Testament believers, we are commanded to give as God has prospered us. Therefore, we believe in "grace giving," which means that we give to honor the Lord-the amount of the gift is a private matter between each individual believer and God. An offering is received at our regularly scheduled Sunday service and online, and a complete financial accounting of our church is available for anyone to examine upon request."

Personally I have never felt pressured to do whatever the Lord has led me to be enabled to do regarding financial and or physical effort in giving to the local church body, or even directly to an individual.

I sure am not going to be thinking I need rail on about what someone else is led to do and give by my choosing to be railing on against churches and their leadership. For at the top of that leadership of the local church bodies is my Lord and savior. Instead I think I'll let him judge as He sees fit. - Yep I am sure of it.

Yes I did.

The question I asked only requires a one word answer, YES, or NO. Does God, according to the gospels, ONLY care about how much a person puts in the collection plate at church or tithes, whatever you want to call it?

It's a very straightforward question, does God ONLY care about how much money a person gives to a church when deciding who is blessed or not,  YES OR NO?

Can any of you answer that straightforward question and honestly answer it yes or no?

The answer is "no." That's not the reason for blessing.

You didn't answer a yes or no question, so don't expect the same in return. ExactionForceFail.

Tithing in the O.T. was taxes and not for everyone to take care of the levites and poor. In the Netherlands ages ago almost everyone went to church and the churches used the tithes for the poor. Then the govt took over and the poor, even the homeless get money from the govt and you have to pay 30 percent for that. But the thing is because the govt took over they will give money to someone who smokes pot and refuses to work plus a nice house but a pastor who cares. Pay taxes if you get some money from that church. Even if you have debts from it and a 700 euro income if you're lucky, so we can give the church money to the person who rather lazies around than works.

In Germany they have to pay church taxes.

Kirchensteuer or German church tax; an additional surcharge of 8% - 9% on top of the income tax and solidarity surcharge due and must be paid if you are a registered believer, i.e. affiliated with a church.

No. God doesn't only care about how much money a person puts in a collection plate, or whatever means a church has to collect funds.

If you had done a poll, you would have 100% of "no" answers.

We know about the poor widow (Mark 12:42-44).

We also know about the guilty crucified man, who recognized Jesus as the innocent Son of God when He was crucified too. Jesus assured Him Heaven, He didn't say: Too bad you don't have the chance to give a couple of cents, maybe your mother will pay the church on your behalf. (Luke 23:42-43)

We also know the woman who used expensive perfume to wash Jesus. We also know what the one who only cared about money said and what answer he got. (John 12:1-7)

In all this we see that what matters is our faith and what we do with it — and sometimes that will involve money, yes. What matters is the trust we put in the knowledge that has been given to us, the attention we pay to what the Holy Spirit puts in our minds and hearts.

Also, we know who are the righteous ones (Matthew 25:31-46). We can see what God cares the most about, when we read those verses.

2Pe 3:14-18  Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless;  (15)  and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you,  (16)  as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.  (17)  You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked;  (18)  but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
