Hi all.

I said in another Thread, that I'm leaving for Israel on Friday.

I also said I wanted to write a Journal, and maybe turn it into a book which I can publish. I've got it written in a big writing book here by the screen, and it's big and blue!

I will try and access the computer while I'm out there, but I've written an Introduction before I leave.

I'll keep you guys updated, and tell you all Yomo's antics in the Holy Land!

(PROMISE the day by day entries will NOT be as long was the Intro!)

Ok, first entry: the Introduction.....

INTRODUCTION

What I want to do out there is uncertain. Certainly, I want to see the land, see some famous sights, and "partiually" act as a tourist, but, as I express it: I just want to "be there" with the Jewish people, and meet new faces, and explore new experiences.

The Jewish and Arab markets are the place for those, and obviously there will be extraordinary foods, spices, wines, meats, fruits, and other new things which the stall holders will be selling.

Although I do not have a taste for strange and sharp foods, such as Syrian, or Assyrian products, I have an extraordinary compulsion to go the whole way, and after reading a book about a young woman in Israel experiencing the foods of an Arab Market, where sheeps' and camel's eyeballs are sold for eating, I came up with a resolution to eat one!

To my incredible amusement, the reactions of different people, when I laughingly stated I had made this resolve, where quite funny!

As can be imagined, it will be an entirely new experience for me, and prehaps this is why I have an amusing surge to do it, for me, an English citizen, do not have an eyeball exploding in my mouth every day!

We hope to go to the mountains, to walk up the paths, and see the views.

Worthy Comments:(About a week after this Introduction was written, Mum told me that we would be hiking for 20 miles sometimes!!! That day, we went out in Town and got good, solid walking boots!!)

We shall do some sightseeing, but I have a little feeling that the markets will attrct the most attention!

We shall be staying at a house in Tiberias, facing the sea of Galilee, where Botz (Name hidden on WorthyBoards) stated we may be able to fish.

Worthy Comments: (I've been fishing in the nearby river, but in Israel........being a fisherman/girl on the Sea of Galilee.....wow!!!) :40::thumbsup:

According to the Holy Scriptures in the Bible, this is where the fishermen came from, before Jesus Christ called them to follow Him, and be His disciples.

It will be strange to read my own Bible, and look toward the window, and see where it actually took place.

We anticipate going to the Kidron Valley, where Botz has been before, and told us earlier, that he had discovered that the ground has hundreds of shards of pottery and other items. Earlier in 2005, Botz had been kind enough to show us the pottery he had found, and picked up from the Kidron Valley.

He had also bought items that others had collected, from that area, in a little shop, and the items Botz had purchased were quite impressive.

The flight is booked, and we are to wake up about half three a.m., which does not seem to impress me, for I am not the kind of person that appreciates being woken at early hours of the morning!

However, to solve the problem, an early bedtime will be required, and my alarm clock set.

The airport, according to my father, is an hour and a half away, and of course, it shall be dark.

Sitting in a dark car, heading to an airport which is 120 minutes away, is not a delightful prospect, but we are informed that that we shall be eating breakfast on the plane.

This certainly cheers me up slightly!

Having a waitress serve you an air breakfast, while you sit back and enjoy the ride, is an idea that would cheer up most people's minds!

The only thing that seems to dull the prospect of flying, is that we may be at the mercy of a deranged terriost, whose aim is to blast the lights out of all present in the air, but we hope we shall be safe. After all, they say, that the safest way to travel, is by aeroplane, though I still have my doubts about it, since all the bombs have gone off at airports.Still, we pray for God's protection.

Botz is staying over the night before we go, so we can go as soon as possible.

The suitcases are all packed, and now we are ready to go.

What tommorrow will hold, thoughts fail me, but I know it shall be a grand time in Israel!

Well, that's the Intro over.

Tommorrow..........tommorrow..........

Yom -

You are an awesome writer/recorder/journalist!

Your ability to express your thoughts and feelings and the depths you go into is quite a talent.

I look forward to reading more!

BTW - I hope you've broken in those new walking boots. If not, I suggest you wear them for the rest of the day and at least get a kilometer or two walk in with them.

Lord bless!

Yomomomomomo....

For heaven's sake girl, you're going to Israel! Don't worry about finding a computer to write to us; we'll be here when you return! Concentrate on enjoying your trip and use it as a time to get closer to God. Ask Him to speak to you. If you keep a journal, do it for yourself. Make it a heartfelt one. I appreciate that you want to involve us! (Just shows how sweet you are!) But, please Yomo, don't do it for us or for something to post on the boards. Concentrate on the trip and your relationship with Jesus first and foremost, ok? That is so much more important.

Shalom!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm in an Internet Cafe.

On Friday, I got up at 2.am (English Time)............and was very tired.

Botz took us around Tiberas.

It was great!!!

Today, we went to the remains of Capernehum (spelt that wrong....?)

Then we went to The Mt. Of Beatitudes!!!

We had a great time there!

I have one thing to say.................

I AM NEVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR going in an elevator again!!!!!!!!!

Just 15-20 mins ago, we came down from the top of a building , and I was telling Botz, and Jenbe (Mum) that I was nictoclaustraphobic.

(Means I'm scared of dark, small DARK places.)

Botz and Jenbe convinced me to go in.

I was still reminded of last night, where the eletrics had stopped, and we were up in there............no lights either....

Well, tonight.............the lift stoopped.Light went out.

Jenbe suddenly said "the ventalation has gone!"

My first thought was:

Oh God.

The ventalation. If it has gone..........we are going to be suffocated!

It was very frightening...........

Jenbe shouted, and banged on the door, and tried to open it.

It opened to a brick wall.

Botz shouted in Hebrew..........

Then we saw a light at the top of the lift door........and a Hebrew man shouted something........

Jenbe shouted " we're STUCK!!!!"

The man was silent.

Evidently, he could not understand English.

"speak Israeli!!" hissed Jenbe/

Botz shouted again, this time in Hebrew, and the man answered.

The lights came on...the air came on..........and then the door went up.

We hastily thanked the man and went down the steps...NOT the lift this time!!!

In the car, Jenbe said to Botz: " how long would we have left, if we were in there with no supply......and we were at the bottom, with no one to hear us?"

"An hour. then we'd pass out." said Botz

My heart was beating!!!

Jenbe had been nervous.

As we got out the car, to come here at the Cafe, I loudly stated that I would never go in a lift again!!

Jenbe told me that I'd have to if I was in England............

NO WAY!

:)

That was VERRRRRY frightening.

Anyway..............that's today's news!!!!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
