 How in the world is one suppose to be a Christian, without being judgemental? Because if you don't do as others who are doing wrong, you are considered judgemental? If you have standards you live by, you are judgemental. How are the ones calling you judgemental, not judgemental? It makes it seem like, whats the use of trying to live right, you can't win.

Hi Sport123

Remember that Jesus told us to love one another?

And remember where He saved you from? He wasn't criticial and said I'm not going to forgive this sport123, but He did and you know that He loves you. He showed His love for you by dying on the cross so you can have eternal life.

Wow isn't that a great promise!

And because Jesus loves us so much He told us to love, so other people might see Him through you. You can still be nice to the people living in the world and tell them you are a Christian but that you want to live a life pleasing to God. That is not judgemental---remember where God saved us from? He can also save your friends-----------just show them love and God will do the rest.

(The Bible says that the people who do not believe in Jesus are judged already)

Hey WSB,

How do you think you can reach people for the Lord if you don't want to have anything to do with them?

I agree you don't do the things of the world if they want you to them , but you don't turn you back on them and not have a coffee or something with them.

I have unchristian friends and they know I am a christian and what I believe, whats so wrong with that? We are not of the world but we still live in the world.

Don't you think you sin anymore?

I'm sorry to burst your bubble but I think if Jesus still walked on earth we find Him in Tim Hortons drinking coffee with unbelievers! :o

I know what you are talking about, don't you go to Tim Hortons and have a coffee with a neighbor who is not a Christian?

Hi Angels4u,

Everything WhySoBlind wrote is true and accurate.

God wants us to be set apart for him. Separated from the World, because we are not of this World but of the World to come.

Its a healthy thing. It keeps us away from temptation, away from immorality and many other sins that the devil will try to entrap us in. God wants us clothed in the righteousness of Jesus. By being separated the World will see that we are called of God. We become a shining light. We become the salt of the earth. Many many christrians I know are very youthful in their looks and in their ways. Alcohol and drugs age a person. Stress and Depression destroy the Soul of a person. Bad reputations isolate a person. But in God we have joy, peace, a shelter in times of trouble. This is the hope that the world hungers for. But they can't eat of it if we are living a double life - it tastes fowl.

God will impress on our hearts when to witness to a person about him. Or God may want us amongst his people to be built up in his word and being prepared for his work. God cares more about the World than anyone else ever could.

God is Love

I did not say to conform to their life style , but its not good to distance yourself from unbelievers, go have a coffee with them, or go to Dairy Queen get to know them and I'm sure you get a change to wittnes to them.

Where would Jesus go if He was walking on earth? Would he be among the Christians at all times?

I struggle with this very topic myself, but I do believe it is very important that we do not fully dissociate ourselves from the unsaved.

Jesus said (paraphrase) to love those that hate us, for if we only love those who love us back, where is the reward??

If we disjoin ourselves and ONLY live by example without ever getting involved with the unsaved directly, I dont think we are doing the work of God properly and run the risk of becoming aloof and thinking ourselves above others. We must get involved and get amongst them, and not partake in their immoral behaviour, but try and show them the better way of life and teach as to what awaits them, otherwise what are we doing here??

Ephesians. 5:5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

Do not be partakers with them....meaning don't partake with their sin. It doesn't mean you can't be with them.

ut that really is not relevant. Jesus was God in the flesh. He had no sin nature whatsoever. He could be tempted from without, but did not have to struggle against his own self. With the Holy Spirit resting upon him continually, Jesus was perfect in every way, and never sinned. You and I are easily tempted because we already have a sin nature within us, our flesh already wants to do wrong, let alone external temptations.

And the disciples who were with Him to record the events?

Jesus was setting an example for us to follow; love the unlovable.

Hi,

Ur right "Super Jew".

Not being partakers with them does not mean physically staying away from them; but not partaking in their sins. It does not mean we should b there while they please their flesh because we trully r in the flesh and can easily fall into temptation. But find the apropriate time 2 met and talk 2 them as the spirit leads us on what 2 say, not what we think we should say.

God bless!!!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
