Trump was invited to speak to the group of African American Journalists.  What an opportunity for him to score some points of support.

But no....... 

He has to open up with saying that he had no idea that Kamala Harris was a black woman.  He thought she was Indian.

He says she "changed".  Everyone knows she is both.  Her mother is Indian and her father is Jamaican.  Jamaicans who live in the United States are called African American as they are from Afro-American descent.

He is going to let this slip from his fingers if he focuses on her gender and skin tone.

It may be true what he said. He also said they never were friends and he had no business dealings with her so it may be or may not be. Seems you do not believe him where as I say it may be true I do not know for sure but I will say I trust him more than any dem I know of.

Part of Trump's brand is being an enfant terrible. If he now started to "change the way he speaks", it would be like changing Coca-Cola's logo to beige. In 2016 he was confronting the issue of political correctness, and in 2024 he must show that he is consistent.

This approach makes him look genuine, something that highly contrasts with the performative posture of Democrats like Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris. His "oh, isn't she indian?..." may be a performance, but it aligns with his genuine intention to expose how she floats according to what is more convenient. A tooth for a tooth, hypocrisy for hypocrisy.

Shame neither of the duopoly's candidates can discuss issues like opponents of only half a century managed to do. There is a third choice, the one I have made, to vote for RFK Jr. Course the way things are rapidly advancing there may be no elections, there may be no November. Maranatha!

Yeah, Paul tried to "be all things to all people" as it were - for the sake of the gospel. Big difference from being martyred for your faith and being a politician. They won't stop talking about race because then they would need something else to sow division over.

Both parties are using the identity/race card in their own way. It's all the same game really because all the subtle division on race, gender, etc. is straight out of the old Soviet playbook for how to bring down a country from the inside. Any division no matter what will do as a starting point, get cracks going all though the structure, and you can have your Marxist revolution.

I have confidence in this: The Lord will see to it we get the leadership we need - or the kind we deserve. I'm praying for the kind we need.

As the saying goes, you can't teach an old dog new tricks .   Trump will always have his personality and try as he might, his speaking habits will be difficult to almost impossible to reform.   I guess the hope would be for the public not to forget what they have been through the last 4yrs and make the necessary adjustment or stay with the sinking boat.

But, I like Walla299 post, that basically spells out the choice and optimisim.
