Darkness That Can Be Felt

Exodus 10:21 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, 

that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.

 

The Authority Of Darkness

Luke 22:53 When I was with you daily in the temple, you did not try to seize Me.

But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.

It was the ninth plague, possibly a sandstorm that can last for days, or maybe locusts, but as it could be felt, it would be something physical.

Jesus said to the chief priests, captains of the temple, and elders, who had come against him, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs? When I was with you in the temple daily, you didn’t stretch out your hands against me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.” (Luke 22:52-53)

John Wesley says it was the time Satan had the power. (It was violent.)

Oh okay some thought for exploration:

Before the heavens and the earth  and the sun light was created.

The hand of darkness that could be felt would be realized as a shock of sudden interruption of the present source of heat the spectrum of light from the created sun that heats the earth, bringing cold and damp in sudden fashion, a sudden change that evokes fear of the unknown.

Apparently the Hebrew word 'felt' (H4959)  is a primitive root meaning; to feel of; by implication to grope: - feel, grope, search.
