Well, as for me . . . I am praying for the salvation of this nation that was founded upon Christian values. I figure that IF God would have spared Sodom and Gomorra if there was 10 righteous in them, then the same principal applies to the USA. Just here on Worthy, we have more than 10 righteous people, so . . . I have hope for our nation and our children.

And I am reminded of the promise about how IF God's people will humble themselves and turn from their wicked ways Then He will heal their land (rough paraphrase I know but the principal is no less true for today).

I have no doubt that America will go down the proverbial 'rat hole' someday, but, I also am not so sure that this is the time for that to happen.  In the meantime . . . I am praying, ministering as God give me opportunity to bring hope and healing to God's people. At the same time I cast my vote (action to my prayers) for the least wicked choices.

I am not denying what is happening around us, but I know that God has an proven track record of redeeming His people, and answering prayers of faith coupled with action. I am not ready to wave the white flag of surrender when Jesus is absolute King over the affairs of men and can overrule wickedness and perversion IF we pray in faith for his divine intervention.

Timing is everything isn't it . . . . . to the doom and gloom people who might read this reply . . .  are you sure that your timing is right ? ? ?

You wonder about the judgment of God and America.

America has BEEN under the judgment of God since at least 1992 - the Clinton years.  A case could be made for before that.

If people would just read their Bibles, they would know that God hates even the systemic sins of entire countries as well as the sins of the individual.

How many nations in the Old Testament did God place under judgment?  Even ISRAEL!  Even though he loves them and isn't finished with them.

Why would God just molly-coddle America?  Because we are so great?  So powerful? Do our systemic sins not count?

“Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear” Psalm 2:10-12

What are our sins as a nation that are systemic [belonging to the whole]?

The MULTI-billion dollar porn industry that reaches down as far as elementary school.  Abortion - becoming more and more normalized.  Christians that are lethargic, spiritually/Biblically ignorant as dirt, watch and read the same nastiness as the rest of the world, and basically live with such shallow roots that they don't know the difference between holiness and paganism and really don't care.

We are a nation that consumes too much:  too much food, alcohol, television [the idiot box], filthiness, monies, drugs, and anything that brings us that dopamine high.

We live as if we are our own God and the true God has been shunned.

What's the PROOF that we are already under the judgment of God?

Consider these:  We are getting the leadership that we deserve.  The family - the God ordained family - has been redefined.  Rampant and horrible crime.  Our borders that are being torn asunder and invaded.  Our currency and economy falling apart.  Socialism, Marxism, and communism being accepted.  The church accepting homosexuality.  Our nation pushing deviant sexual practices as entertaining and normal.  Anti-semitism on the sky-rocketing rise.  The church is, like an overfed glutton, fast asleep.

America sees, but does not perceive.  America hears, but does not understand.  America has a heart, but does not believe nor obey.

Human government was meant to be a pattern of heavenly government to restrain and punish evil. I will skip other heavenly patterns on Earth.

I have noticed a trend in the Bible that is repeated with nations. When sin, idolatry, and abominations become accepted and the law (political correctness) of the land, God’s judgment soon arrives.

I believe Ruth Graham’s quote many moons ago rings true today more than ever:

If God does not judge America soon, He owes an apology to Sodom and Gomorrah.

 A  then young family wrote a piece back in 1939 "Americas heart is failing". within it he told, perhaps foretold, of the drug cartels that could/would take down the USA in the years to come. The USA has been under siege from within and from without for over a full one hundred years now.

I am coming to realize the USA is not a Christian nation, but is a post Christian nation rapidly approaching being an anti Christian nation. So the question for me becomes  what will my Lord and savior have of me in a antiChristian land not much different, if different at all, from what Christians have faced from the beginning of the earthly ministry of Jesus?

The answer  for me at this time is to get back to the core, do not be distracted,  avoid all the tar babies and seek the hope that is certain; that being the gospel message of Jesus.

Maybe God's plan for America is for there not to be a national religious identity, but instead that there be individuals that heed the specific call to them from the Holy Spirit to turn about to Jesus as Lord. That way, perhaps, each so called do not lose their first love  but instead cling, ever more so, strongly to Him.

Right now the new to me word syncretism is a perfect one word to describe what  I hear  read and see even at worthy Christian Forums. That  effort of grafting Jesus into a root of what ever cause is a pet of the beholder of it in order to elevate the pet project or belief.

Jesus  is not a prop to be used to elevate any man nor any cause of a man. The hope, for me, is to hang onto joy in my Lord's sovereignty, no matter the circumstance of the flesh.  Just as Paul did.

I too am in this world; but am not to be of it. So "What difference at this point anyway does it make?"  becomes my marching orders from my Lord. It makes no difference none. Jesus is my rock I have no other. I need no other. I will allow no other.

Plus I  will try to not be offended by the tar babies, nor bite on the shiny objects being trolled. For then I am good in all situations. I can come to Jesus each and every day to ask, "Lord is it good between you and me? What will you have of me today?" No matter what city,  house, land, nation, or continent, I am on, I am secure for all eternity forward.

9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?

Rom 9

21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

Not addressing anyone in particular, but this should be moved to the political section.

In response to your comments, have you heard one of the political parties ( guess which one) are making citezenship easy for illegals who agree to vote.They are betting they will all vote that party since it was the party who allowed all of them to come across the border.

This in combination with "absentee ballots" and remote digital vote tampering are a huge wall to get beyond. In addition, The other side has said there would not be a peacful transfer of power if he wins. They will use it for division. i.e. Chicago a few years ago.

It's an uphill battle either way. They have no scruples.

None of this is by coincidence, and it is painfully evident that the New World Order has been initiated (Build Back Better). This thread could also be moved to the eschatology section, as that is what is playing out with poly-ticks. When I look at America and these many bloodsuckers, 2 Timothy 3:1-5 and elsewhere pop off the pages of scripture.

Taking the global playbook in our faces for all to see, UN. Agenda 2030, all one must do is read it, compare our Bible with the poly-ticks news, and look around. The globalists, everyone from the UN. and alphabet agencies to the Pope, Bill Gates to George Soros screaming for more control and socialism. The economic disparity between nations and the gap between the rich and poverty is a selling point. National borders and sovereignty must be extinguished and overwritten with global law and mandates. An international climate change carbon emission tax would be ideal for implementing enforcement and funding.

A digital currency and complete economic control could be implemented any day now. I suspect that never wasting a good crisis will be crucial in establishing it.

The last bastion of freedom, the so-called ideological light on the hill, has self-destructed. Omitting the loss of America’s morals, values, and character plunges into Godlessness. Everyone keeps calling America the wealthiest nation on earth, and nothing could be further from the truth. By definition, we are the poorest nation on earth. What would be our FICA score if we ran our finances like our government? However, the population needs a politically correct social credit score. What is wrong with my own good faith and credit clause? After all, it is backed by me, I.O.U. nothing.

We continue to print, inflate, and borrow our way to public and private prosperity to continue our lavish lifestyle. Comparing our assets to public and private debt, we are the poorest nation on earth. We are in a hole that cannot be dug out of as the trillions in debt and spending exponentially increase. By any measure, we are well beyond bankrupt and insolvent.

Economically, along with biblical values, morals, standards, and practices, our future does not seem promising to say the least. Fortunately, we know who wins, and the best is yet ahead. America and the world will soon receive what they earned and deserve.
