Try your best to show we see darkly, from other verses, other than the two you have written your idea about, do you think there are any ?

There are many scriptures, too many, all showing what LIGHT WE ARE IN.

John 12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

1 John 2:8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.
9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.
10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

Insight is what was told ( knowledge) wont save us, charity,( kindness, humility, belief in all things) edifies is what is told, will.

Compare the words, of seeing darkly/in a dark place and how that changes through charity..

1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

2 Peter 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

2 Peter 1:6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I understand them to be two different things. One is the knowledge and the other is how it is transmitted. Knowledge transmitted by a Christian who is puffed up must be judged true or untrue. The Christian who is puffed up by this knowledge stands before His Master alone to be judged. I am excluded from this process. - forbidden to judge. I welcome the truth always, even if the carrier of the truth isn't perfect.

Our brother who wrote the OP touched an important point. I thank him for it.

Prov. 26:12 Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him.

Gal. 6:3 3  For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.

1 Tim. 1:5-7  Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

1 Tim. 6:3-4  If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

And especially the one I started with 1 Cor. 8:2 And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.

My brother, it would seem that all agree with you. I do. But in our failure as perfectly motivated men, we often point out the truth with less than perfect motives. Our failure to be perfect should not stop us telling the truth.

God once led a donkey to tell the truth. Afterwards he was still a donkey.

LIGHT

ISAIAH 8:20  to the law and to the testimony if they speak not according to this word it is because there is no light in them

PROVERBS 6:23  for the commandment is a lamp and the law is light and reproofs of instruction are the way of life

JOHN 8:12  then spake  JESUS  again unto them saying  I  AM  THE  LIGHT  of the world he that followeth  ME  shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life

GALATIANS 6:2  bear you one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of  CHRIST

HEBREWS 7:12  for the priesthood being changed there is of necessity a change also of the law

2 CORINTHIANS 4:6  for  GOD  who commanded the light to shine out of darkness hath shined in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of  GOD  in the face of  JESUS  CHRIST

DARKNESS

JOB 38:2  who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge

PSALM 119:36  incline my heart unto thy testimonies and not to covetousness

PSALM 119:119  thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross therefore I love thy testimonies

EZEKIEL 33:31  and they come unto thee as the people cometh and they sit before thee as  MY  people and they hear thy words but they will not do them for with their mouth they show much love but their heart goeth after their covetousness

EPHESIANS 5:5  for this you know that no whoremonger nor unclean person nor covetous man ---who is an idolater--- hath any inheritance in the kingdom of  CHRIST  AND  OF  GOD

2 CORINTHIANS  be you not unequally yoked together with unbelievers for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness and what communion hath light with darkness

I think there's a huge difference today. Well who was he writing to? Who taught them?  I agree with seeing through a darken glass. Well what's written? "For now we see". I like they way the AMP says it "For now [in this time of imperfection] we see in a mirror dimly [a blurred reflection, a riddle, an enigma], but then [when the time of perfection comes we will see reality] face to face. Now I know in part [just in fragments], but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known [by God]."

Yeah.. after this life then we will see what we never could here. I don't see this as if we see through love then we truly can see. I might have that wrong but Paul or really the sweet holy Spirit didn't say that, it was after. See for me that is not what he was talking about. Well no matter what you and I think we know or can know.. say it to Him see what happens. Every time you find out.. you never saw it all. This comes not by love but by the sweet sweet holy Spirit. He is the one that shows us tell us about Christ and the Father and never talks about himself (I say he yet.. its not). See no pun.. but see right there the Holy Spirit who talks as in the Holy sprit said "While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said".

My point sorry not good with words.. never going to see or understand with out Him.  I know you might have never wondered why I try to always say "sweet sweet Holy Spirit". So easy to grieve Him. Yet some ask how can you grieve someone you never met or close to. We won't know anything without Him.

Great example of how we should not hold back in telling the message of the truth of God's kingdom despite our flaws and imperfections.  In many ways, we are all "donkeys."

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
