How does the USA benefit from devastating blows (Tariffs) that will befall both Canada and Mexico? The USA is not self sufficient now, can the USA flip a switch, close borders, add punishing  tariffs, and do better that has been the case for the past several decades  under the trilateral free trade agreements of the Bush Clinton  Obama Biden eras ( The USMCA, which substituted the North America Free Trade Agreement [NAFTA] )?

Seems to me the USA will "cut off it's own nose to spite it's face" by actually engaging in a trade war instead of building on the freetrade "unions" that have prevailed for decades now.

God raises up and God rings down leaders and nations. When people follow the haughty they set aside God, the jealous God. 1 Samuel 8 provides a window into the future as  well as telling of the consequence of the past.

"Canada has failed the U.S. border by allowing large amounts of drugs and people across the border, including illegal immigrants from over 70 different countries. As such, he threated to impose 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico over their failures to curb the flow of illegal immigrants and illicit drugs from those countries into the U.S."

It's not a trade war when the tariffs are being used to save lives. Do you have any idea how devastating fentanyl has been and is to our country? Do I need to find the death numbers for you? And as far as the devastation and destruction caused by the mass flux of illegal immigrants flowing into our country, that's a topic for it's own debate.

I've asked this question before and have gotten basically no relevant response.  According to the Bible, we are to obey our leaders.  There have also been situations where the people of Isreal overthrew their leaders.  What are we supposed to do as Christians if our leaders are unjust?  Follow them?  Should the Germans have followed Hitler?  Also, what if China would invade?  Should we defend ourselves or just do nothing?

Agents captured an average of 1,810 pounds of fentanyl a month at the US-Mexico border from January 2022 to October 2024, according to US Customs and Border Protection statistics. On the northern border, an average of 1.8 pounds a month was seized over the same period.

Yes I do. No you don't. Been involved with the issue for years, decades. Have lost one family member to drugs and suicide.  Have been aware and involved with DEA in the past, and have worked against the problem right on my own home street with two houses in a nice neighborhood involved in nightly deals.

Land borders are pointless when there is such a demand for the product. It will find it's customers by sea and or air. There's going to be no  tariff on illegal drugs, and if there were  it would only increase the number of domestic "factories" producing the stuff.

It (Illegal drug use) has been a problem since before WWII. My father even wrote a paper on it back in 1939, telling of the situation that we would be facing today including who would be invading us with it and from where.

Which in of itself may not mean  it is a good thing for the USA! Instead it may likely be  the same thing  God has done in the past essentially saying  the people have set me aside demanding a king,- and so let them have their king(s) Reference to 1 Samuel 8

Donald Trump or no other human is in control of our world. God is so I am not too concerned.

Fentanyl and it's much more potent replacement, nitazene, are both being made here in the U.S. This city has been one of a number of "ground zero" places in the country where these drugs are made and trafficked.

We only recently acquired fentanyl test strips at the nonprofit where I work. Specialized testing is required to detect the different compounds which comprise fentanyl; this goes beyond the 12-drug panel we use to test new clients for other substances such as meth, MDMA, et. al. To complicate matters, those specialized fentanyl test strips cannot detect nitazene. I advocated for the fentanyl test strips, and now I'm keeping my eyes open for nitazene detection technology.

Why test for these substances? We have a responsibility for the health and safety of all of our clients, and it's critical to know if anyone is using the deadliest drugs from which recovery is virtually unheard of. Narcan is powerless against them both.

Yes, Christians are expected to obey the Government but...All authority comes from God and established by Him. Our obedience to our Government does not apply if Government laws contradict God's laws. Christians are to obey God rather than man.

Fentanyl is really bad stuff and so popular .

The most dangerous aspect in my estimation is addiction. Fentanyl addiction invariably leads to fatality since it doesn't take much of that drug to kill us. My first encounter with that happened a few years ago when a man climbed into a dumpster at our old location in the war zone. Witnesses said they watched him smoke "blues" (that's local terminology for fentanyl) before climbing into the dumpster; the man passed away in that dumpster afterward. A few weeks later, I encountered a man lying prone on the sidewalk. He was unresponsive. People in the area reported that he was seen smoking blues before lying down on the sidewalk.

I had one of them call 911 while we administered two doses of Narcan to the man. Neither had any effect. His breathing was shallow so all I could do was pray that he would make it. I don't know if he did or not.

Really scary stuff  It is really sad why a person would go down that path.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
