I wrote this topic because of the words spoken by the angel of the Lord in Luke 2:11.

Through that messenger of God, it became clear to me how important it is to emphasize that CHRIST is the true GOD HIMSELF.

The angel calls Him "Savior", which is Christ the Lord.

Luke 2:11 KJV

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.

"CHRIST THE LORD"

Please look with me at what the Strong's concordance indicates at "THE LORD" (G2962), pay special attention to what is stated at point "C".

 G2962

 Original: κύριος

 Transliteration: kurios

 Phonetic: koo'-ree-os

 Thayer Definition:

 1. he to whom a person or thing belongs, about which he has power of deciding; master, lord

 A. the possessor and disposer of a thing

-1. the owner; one who has control of the person, the master

-2. in the state: the sovereign, prince, chief, the Roman emperor

 B. is a title of honor expressive of respect and reverence, with which servants greet their master

 C. this title is given to: God, the Messiah

 (so far)

CHRIST IS THE LORD, HE IS ONE. (Deut.6:4)

Whoever sees Christ sees God (John 14:9), and whoever wants to see God will have to focus his eye on the Lord Jesus Christ. (Ps.123:1, Heb.12:2)

Whoever seeks God and wants to approach Him, will end up in Jesus Christ, God is not anywhere else!

Brothers and sisters, I wish you a nice day and God's blessing!

 Luke 1:30-32

30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.

......Mary will give birth to a son. And she will called him Jesus.

And he will be great and will be called the Son of the most High.

The Archangel Gabriel said that he will be great....and will be called the Son of the most High.

The Archangel Gabriel told Mary how it will happen. In verse 34-35 .

34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”

35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.

....That what the Archangel Gabriel said to Mary the child to be born that no man will take part in it. That no man can say that Jesus is my Son.

And it took 12 years for Jesus to tell Joseph that he knows that he is not his father by telling him that God is my Father.

And it took another 18teen years for Heavenly Father to give his witness from Heaven that Jesus is his only Son and He also said that Jesus from now on will abide in his will.

Today I begotten him, but before that he said "THAT HE IS MY SON"

AND JESUS SAID "HERE I AM TO DO YOUR WILL"

Jesus has not died yet and has not been glorified. This is why Jesus began to say I have come for the lost sheep of Israel. His mission was to the lost sheep of Israel before his death on the Cross. The lost sheep, all those who were eligible to participate in the righteousness of the Law but they were cut off and they couldn't participate in the Celebrations of the Law which it  comes down that they were in their sins.

Jesus the Apointed Christ to be has not die yet.

He had not been declared the Christ from the Heavenly Father yet but will be declared the Christ after his death on the Cross when he will die for the forgiveness of sins of the whole world. When he will shed the blood of the New Covenant as he proclaimed it during the meal of the Last Super. Jesus said unless I die nothing will be accomplished.

Thank you for bringing up our salvation from sin because of who he is....

The Priestly office of Christ has been mentioned throughout this thread, but His throne as an order of priesthood is absent throughout this thread asking who Christ is.

Zech 6:13  Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

Heb 7:17  For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

@Anne2 Christ as the believer's great High Priest is indeed one of the glorious themes of the Epistle to the Hebrews.

Amen. Not just king of the circumcision, but the uncircumcision as well. His throne is not just an earthly throne of fleshly kings.

However, since the law has for children which are flesh and blood, he as well took  on that nature to satisfy the covenant they were subject to....officiate as high priest. He did not disannul the law but fulfilled it for them.

The circumcision of the flesh judged by the law, however all are sons of Adam....Even those under the law.

Part of the wonder of the Epistle to the Hebrews is that it can  be instructive to those from both a Jewish and Gentile background alike.

In this passage the Messiah is portrait as a Priest in a Temple that he has build himself distinguish from the Temple in the Covenant of Sinai because it says

"And HE SHALL BEAR THE GLORY ".

And HE SHALL SIT AND RULE UPON HIS THRONE.

And HE SHALL BE A PRIEST UPON HIS THRONE

and that's how he said that he will die for both Jews and Gentiles with these words.

AND THE COUNSEL OF PEACE SHALL BE BETWEEN THEM BOTH.

If I may say that the Pharisees and the Jews and the Priests believed that the Messiah will come from the Priesthood. Or that he has to be a Priest first and God will make him a King. So He can fit the shoes of the Messiah who had to be born.

From their history they knew what happened to the Kings or leaders of the people who dare to enter the Temple and take up the duties of the Priest contrary to the order in the book of Leviticus.

Even to the sons of Aaron who as Priests they did something out of order in the Leviticus guidelines.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
