How rare. Finally, it is a subject with no disagreement thus far, LOL. I agree with everything mentioned about the veil, and add a couple more thoughts, a veil of separation:

Revelation 1:6 (KJV) And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Hebrews 4:16 (KJV) Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

The veil (a representation of Christ) was the wall of separation between a Holy God and a sinful man. The high priest could enter only after the specified cleansing procedure on the day of atonement. It is my understanding that a rope was attached to the high priest's ankle to drag him out if he failed any of the requirements to enter the Holy of Holies.

1 Timothy 2:5 (KJV) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Christ is the veil; non-believers cannot enter the throne or presence of God through prayer for intercession or petition. I believe there is only one prayer God will hear first: the prayer of confession, belief, profession, and repentance unto Salvation.

As granted and made priests, our High Priest is our mediator between us and God, the perfect sacrifice, Kinsman Redeemer.

The numerical symbolism measurement (thirty) of the veil, which is also interesting, is the blood of Christ.

I've always wondered that and the best I can come up with is that sin has a stench to it and so the incense covers the stench of sin so God don't have to hold His breath around us?

Incense, a sweet-smelling substance composed of resins and sometimes mixed with spices, has been used for various religious and cultural purposes throughout history. In ancient Israelite worship, incense was burned as an offering to honor God, symbolizing the prayers of the Hebrew people[1]. The composition of this sacred incense was specifically prescribed, consisting of stacte, onycha, galbanum, and pure frankincense[1]. Its use was restricted to priests descended from Aaron, who offered it morning and evening on a designated altar in the tabernacle or temple[1][2]. Beyond its religious significance in Judaism, incense has been used in various cultures to please deities, drive away demons, counteract unpleasant odors, and even as a symbolic means of communication with the divine[3][4]. In some traditions, the smoke and odor of incense were believed to have mystical qualities, elevating the mind and affecting the divine sphere[3]. Incense has also been used in domestic settings, festivals, and various rituals across different religions, including Hinduism, Buddhism, and ancient Greek and Roman practices[4].

I caught on to this one, but I see that there is so much more to it than that. I suspected as much. Thanks Brother, learn something new everyday!

Beautiful post and replies, all gloryfiying the Lord and what provision is made for salavation for all men and  who would accept the offering and sacrifice that was made.  Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin [ Not of bulls of goat but of Christ ].

Hebrews 9:14-15      Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

14 How much more surely shall the blood of Christ, Who [b]by virtue of [His] eternal Spirit [His own preexistent [c]divine personality] has offered Himself as an unblemished sacrifice to God, purify our consciences from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the [ever] living God?

15[Christ, the Messiah] is therefore the Negotiator and Mediator of an [entirely] new agreement (testament, covenant), so that those who are called and offered it may receive the fulfillment of the promised everlasting inheritance—since a death has taken place which rescues and delivers and redeems them from the transgressions committed under the [old] first agreement.

Heb 10:19  Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
Heb 10:20  By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh

It think the flesh separates us from the presence of God. Christ descended to take on flesh and when the veil is remove one can see the glory of God.

Wow - I think there is something to "counteracting unpleasant odors" - I'd not thought about the incence in this way, but man does have the stench of death about him...

Rev 5:8  And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.

Rev 8:3  And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

Rev 8:4  And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.

True. But I'll go with your first statement, or, your previous post. The Tabernacle in heaven is very prominent in Revelation - which has not been fulfilled yet.. The curtain, or "Veil" might be rent, but the Altar of Incense is still in place. We are still to enter in the name of Jesus and we are still to pray in His Name. It is true that we can connect with Jehovah anywhere, anytime, but that is because the human spirit is mobile.

God is still a holy God and we created beings are still profane. It is still fully up to Jesus whether we get access to God or not. This is no better shown in our preparation for the Lord's Table. Judge your self (the altar). Deal with dirt (the Laver). Let His light reveal our real position (the Lampstand). Eat His word (the shewbread altar) and let Jesus be your incense (the golden altar). This whole House is His Body. This whole House is your body. Come defiled and you get sick and even die.

I probably sound pedantic, but the oil of anointing never touches Aaron' flesh (Ps.133)

2Co 2:15  For we are unto God a sweet savor of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:

2Co 2:16  To the one we are the savor of death unto death; and to the other the savor of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?

I've heard that before too. Every day almost a new aspect of it is put forth and things get more clarity.

Jesus is the veil now, or what's left of it. No man comes to the Father but by Me, He said. And Jesus decides how much of that veil is removed.

I've heard good testimonies before and a couple different people said similar things. That one said an Angel to her by fruit trees growing in heaven somewhere and before they  got to the visit of where they were going to see the Lord for a life review or whatever. And she said the Angel instructed her to eat the fruit. So she did and it tasted good, but as she was eating what is the purpose of eating the fruit? Why did the Angel want her to eat it? So she asked him, why do you instruct me to eat this fruit? And the Angel because you have a low capacity and could not stand before the Lord, and the fruit will strengthen you and help you stand.

So it's about how much capacity we have to endure the glory of the presence of the Lord? I do remember a scripture, and they were destroyed by the brightness of His coming.../ So that makes sense. If an unbeliever would turn to dust from the glory of the Lord, then all of us Christians are at different stages of our sanctification which takes time, so we grow into a capacity to be able to stand in His presence. <That's a scripture too! (Luke 21:36)

So it kind of clicks together. There's another scripture about the saints in heaven. It was describing the new Jerusalem and it said, the tree of Life is on the banks of the river of Life, and it's leaves are for the healing of the nations?

To stand before the Lord" is often used to emphasize the need for spiritual preparation and a righteous life to face God's judgment. It underscores the importance of holiness, faith, and seeking God's grace for a successful encounter with Him. No wonder Jesus appears to some people but not to others.

Even myself, when the Lord walked into my room and spoke audibly to me, but I couldn't see Him. I must not have the capacity yet. But I knew it was Him. When Jesus walks into the room...there is no mistaking it who He is.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
