Yes, waiting for the creek to settle down after the snow melt, waiting to kick the can down the road a few more days, weeks or years.

Yes, because we do have an amazing future.

Forgive me if I missed some sort of sarcasm, but I'm referring specifically to one of the 4 schemes of interpreting the Apocalypse, called Futurism.

Is everyone here expecting a future antichrist with a future tribulation?

Does anyone here give any credence to the prophetic interpretations of the Protestant Reformers?

Two scriptures say why we should not take notice of any interpretation of the Prophesies, before now:-

Daniel 12:9-10....seal the Book until the time of the end....then only a few wise leaders will understand.

Matthew 11:25 I thank You; Father,,,,for hiding these things, [the Prophesies] from the learned and wise......

Also, those who have chosen to believe false theories and unscriptural doctrines, will be locked into them; Isaiah 29:9-12 and even the Lords servants can be deceived. Isaiah 42:18-20

Shalom, @Excalibur.

While I consider myself to be a futurist, that is a premillennialist, I do NOT believe in a "future tribulation." I believe it can be shown that the "tribulation" - not being a 7-year period - has already started, and we are IN IT NOW. It's more of a 2000-year period and is also called "the Time of Jacob's Trouble.," and "the Times of the Gentiles." (Some call it the "Church Age.") Having already started, we have missed the beginning of it, and even the middle of it! We are actually anticipating the Second Coming, when the Messiah Yeeshuwa` returns. That makes me a "post-tribulational rapturist" of sorts, although I don't believe He "takes us to Heaven" at all. Instead, He takes us THROUGH the heavens - the skies - to His Land, the Land of Israel.

So, we aren't "raptured to Heaven" but rather are "gathered to the Son," "to meet Him in the air," and go with Him as He returns to His homeland to reclaim His own Land.

The "antichrist" is a SPIRIT - an ATTITUDE - of being "against the Messiah," which has been going on since the First Century, according to John in ...

1 John 4:3 (KJV)

3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and EVEN NOW ALREADY IS IT IN THE WORLD.

In the translation of this verse, we kinda got the verb in the wrong place (which is a common error in translation); it is rather that one doesn't "confess that Yeeshuwa` (Jesus)" IS "the Christ (the MESSIAH) come in the flesh." In Greek, less emphasis is put on word order when the meaning of things is found more in the cases of nouns and adjectives and the tenses of the verbs and adverbs. Here's the Greek of this verse to confirm what I've said:

Transliterated,

4:3  Kai pan pneuma ho mee homologei ton Ieesoun Christon en sarki eleeluthota ek tou Theou ouk estin; kai touto estin to tou antichristou ho akeekoate hoti erchetai kai nun en too kosmoo estin eedee.

Translated word-for-word:

4:3  And every spirit/attitude the-one not agreeing-with the Yeeshuwa` Messiah in flesh was-come from the God not is; and that is the-one of-the-against-Messiah the-one ye-have-heard that shall-come and now in the world is already.

I give credence to "sola scriptura," and each reformer had their own part to play in history in the recovery of God's Word to His children; however, the papacy was only a PART of the "spirit of antichrist." There shall yet come a "man against the Torah" who shall come from the Jews and attempt to lead them away from God's Word, and there shall be a "Beast" who reigns ruthlessly over a people in the future, but properly he should not be called "the Antichrist," even though he will agree and have that spirit - that attitude - of being against YHWH'S Messiah. Whether the "man against the Torah" and the "Beast" are the same person, it's possible, but we'll have to wait and see. For me, the "jury is still out."

The "antichrist" is also an individual, a person, a living being, a person demanding worship.

Rev 16:13 - Then I saw three evil spirits, that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet... to gather them for the battle on that great day of God Almighty - Armageddon.

Rev 19:19,20 - Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army.  But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had preformed the miraculous signs on his behalf......  The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.

First, I wouldn’t be so quick to boldly proclaim anything pertaining to prophecy with just two scriptures to back you.  We must keep them in context.

Second, why couldn’t the prophecies be fulfilled until now?  The last days began in NT times.

Third, Daniel’s interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar’s image in Dan 2 reveals that the Roman Empire (legs of iron) was to rise after the Grecian empire.  The Roman Empire was in existence in John’s day, thus negating your two-scriptured yardstick.

Just the proliferation of ideas, theories and flat out guesswork, of the self proclaimed experts on the Prophetic Word, is enough to prove my point.

The last days must be the Last Days, not 2000 years.

The truth of God's 7000 year Plan for mankind, can be proved by the addition of the time periods given in the Bible and we are now almost at the 6000 year mark, when Jesus will Return and reign for the final 1000 years.

The ten toes of King Neb's statue remain unfulfilled. What is described in Daniel 7:23-25 and Revelation 17:12-14, has not yet happened.

I promote what the Prophets actually tell us. Rather than objecting to my refutations of peoples pet ideas, look forward to the great Promises of God to His faithful peoples.

I’ll reply more later.  But for now, this will do:

Heb 1:1,2-
God,who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
