When does God not hear us?

Actually, I go to the VA and you can't beat the care...and especially the price. It's free. The drugs are only 7 bucks - generic or otherwise. So, I have a good deal.

The electrodes I use for the pain are given to me by the Physical Therapist. That's what they used to do for me when I came into the clinic ...but since the pain was so constant they just gave me the electrode device so I could use it right at home.

Physical Therapy is very helpful in that way.

I have tried to talk my husband into letting me go to a Chiropractor. Some people think they're quacks but it feels like my back bones are totally misaligned. Maybe a chiropractor could help.

I got in some trouble trying to help a friend lift her bedridden husband (a big man) and when I lifted him, I pulled something. My back's never been the same. Anyway, that's when the problem started.

The drugs do make me feel so much better but again, they're very addictive. Then it's hard to stop taking them.

Dear Cats,

I'm surprised the doctor prescribed pain medication for you on your back, and then no other course of action to treat your pain? I really would go and see what the "core" problem is Cats.........so that you can get off the pain killers. I can tell it is troubling you in your heart. Have you thought about seeing another doctor and getting to the bottom of the pain and its cause?

In the long run, it can't be good for you to remain on pain medication Cats, but I know you want to live a normal daily life.

Cats, when you go to the chiropractor, you have to be very careful, because

if they massage too hard, or touch the wrong part of the back, implications can

follow.

A few years back, I heard a story about a man who was receiving chiropracty,

and after a few sessions, he suffered a stroke. I forgot if he died. But, the

doctors said it was caused by the chiropractioning.

However, it could have also been a combination of another health problem. I

don't remember exactly.

I don't think taking medication is a sin. I do pray for God to show me ways to get off my medication (for insomnia), and I know He will. There must be some reason He hasn't yet.

Poor children, it is very hard to see so many suffer. It makes you wonder why it happens. Do you believe we choose all of experience in life before we come into this world? I heard Carolyn Miss say that, I know she is a New Age, but it the only explanation I heard that makes sense.

So God hears everyone then?

Since God is all-knowing, He must be aware of all things..nothing escapes His knowledge...He knows all things...

So, of course He hears all things...but whether or not He chooses to remain silent is His call....remember how He loved the Son, yet even the Son, while suffering on the cross - felt the sense of separation from His Father. Oh, how painful that must have been.

Does God every distance Himself? I don't know. I think He might remain deliberately silent at times, as He did with His own Beloved Son Jesus.

Oh, how that must have hurt Him...to see His beloved Son suffer! Too much for Him to bear, I'm sure.

Happy, I do believe God hears every prayer you pray...I think there are verses in the bible where God turns a deaf ear...(purposely turns away from the cries of his people) but that's a hard thing to consider.

I know that the bible tells us that nothing ..no power on earth or in heaven can separate us from the love of God, in Christ Jesus.

Suzanne, the doctor (primary doctor) gave pain pills and followed up by referring me to Physical Therapy....so I had both going for me.

I don't take the pills anymore...but I've had those times when I did. I now rely mostly on the electrodes that I attach to my back ...and that does help a lot.

As I mentioned, I hope eventually to cough up the dollars for a chriopractor...but I'd prefer a Christian chiropractor.

It seems that they're always trying to pawn off some vitamins or something, though.

I stopped watching that one guy...(Life Today) James Robinson because he's always using his program as a forum to tout B-12 supplements, which cost a mint.

I actually tried the stuff and it didn't do a thing..."Emperor's New Clothes" if you know what I mean...

Happy - I'm no expert, and I don't know what you have looked into, but I wanted to ask if you have looked into what may be the root of your insomnia. Sometimes the Lord does not heal because He wants the root to be dealt with. Sure, He could remove the root, but then we would never grow.

I do not know all the causes of insomnia. I do know that some causes can be such things as improper diet, stress, unforgiveness, depression, any other form of a restless spirit, certain types of mold that can grow in a house. I do not know what else. Have you looked into these or other things as causes that need to be removed from your life?

Yes He hears. We do not understand why He responds the way He does, especially when His response is a lack of one! But, yes, He is with you always.

Happy, I'd just avoid the New Age books, websites....as well as the pagan ones.

You know, Satan is a roaring lion stalking his prey...he feeds on the weak and the young, (and I sense you are young). You ask great questions...but he may also see that as a way to trip you up.

Your curiosity may lead you into a snare the enemy is setting. He knows your eagerness to learn but unfortunately, there are so many sources of "knowledge" and many of them are in error...that is...some of what they say is truth, mixed in with error. This contaminates the whole batch.

You can't have truth mixed with error or it no longer retains itself as truth. It becomes a lie, because it's tainted with error.

Pagans might say, "Of course we believe in Jesus. We believe Jesus was a good man."

You think, "Okay...they are righton because they believe thus and so.."

Problem is - next sentence they'll say, "After all, Jesus is in YOU and in all of US...and Jesus is a consciousness we all have...blah, blah..."

You see, they take a small part of Christian doctrine and mix it with a lot of error and sell it as is. When you buy what they're selling, you're buying a pack of lies.

We are NOT all Jesus and we are NOT all existing with the Christ consciousness...(New Age Doctrine)

They take a piece here and a piece there...Scientology does it; Christian Science does it...many do it but they poison the pure and sound doctrine of our Lord and contaminate it with error.

Cats right, HAppy. There is alot of garbage and gunk out there on the internet.

I myself must be careful which resources are errant or not.

I have read some gunk on the new age...Oh, Jesus was not a human, but a

cosmic energy...or, Jesus was a great prophet, but Joseph Smith was a TRUE

prophet...oh, Jesus is the Savior, the King of Kings, but Mary must intercede

for us, and we MUST ask forgiveness of her...

This is true, happy. There is a lot of occultic garbage out there. You have to be

really really careful. There are even a lot of evangelists that have dipped in

to the occult, like Billy Graham, Oral Roberts, et al. Teachers of "christianity".
