Sometime back last year (probably last spring) Julie, the other supervisor at work, and I were talking about how sleezy junior's/women's "fashion" has became. She is the daughter of a young girl (10 or 11) and she was talking about how that as long as her daughter is under her roof, she will not dress like that. She and I basically agreed that many of today's "fashions" look very sluttish. It is truly sad.

my daughter is almost 17. she listens to alternative rock, heavy metal, some punk. She dresses kind of punk, lots of black, but lots of other colors too. her hair has been every color imaginable. Her and her friends may look weird, but they are always covered up. i get some complaints in my church about people worried about what she is listening to, and how sometimes she looks a little scary. Sometimes these comments come from the parents of kids who listen to hip hop, country, more main stream, pop type of music. Their daughters may where outfits that make them look pretty, but the jeans and the skirts are tight, along with the sweaters. ........lots of cleavage...........basically they dress like Brittany Spears. The music they listen to is much more accepted in our church. Country, hip-hop and pop music can be pretty darn raunchy.

I think these people are just being silly, and need to worry about keeping their own daughters covered up.

Well, yes and no. The writer of the article needs to go back to English class for the rudimentary structure of basic sentences, lol! Too many run-on type of things!

When I was in town last year I saw a couple of kids (can't have been more than 11 or 12) buying thongs. There are about a million things wrong with that sentence.

I'm small for my age so I can fit into some kids clothes (I hate to admit) but I am soooo hard pressed to find any decent clothes in those shops! I'm not a tart, I don't want to look like a tart so why would I want to dress like one??

It makes me to sick to see young girls in the tiniest tops and smallest skirts you are ever going to find...what is wrong with these people??

yeah, she had a point. I know men are getting blamed for everything in the world anyway, but some just have to idea how important they are to the body of Chirst!

I heard of this one lady, who at the time was crouching down in a hallway. She said she was easedropping on a men's bible study, because she wanted to hear men say things about Jesus and pray. She was married, so I guess she didn't hear that kind of thing at home.

Yeah, I wish more men would take the role of spiritual leaders in the home. Some men who take roles of spiritual leadership outside the home aren't leaders at home. It's very sad. I mean, I can understand them treading lightly, because there are a lot of feminists out there who would be insulted if the man were taking on the leadership role like that...but frankly, I don't give two cents what those women say. Feminism has outlived its usefulness, if you ask me. I want to see some REAL men!!!

And you know...when I've asked girls at my Bible College about this...they all seem to agree.
