Jack Van Impe

If any of you know Jack Van Impe, I would like to hear what you think about

him and his teachings.

If you ain't so familiar with him, I'll introduce you to him. Jack Van Impe is a world renowned christian preacher. Him and his wife Rexella have done a TV

show for years now. His ministry is worldwide, JVI ministries. There's a very

brief run down on Van Impe.

I've watched him only a few times and there were several points he made with which I disagreed, but I do not remember exactly what the points were.

I know he is basically an eschatological preacher - of which the variety is broad.

Is there something particular that he has spoke about that you have in question?

He and Mrs Van Impe preach mainly about the End-times. He believes firmly in the pre-trib Rapture. He and Rexella's videos are featured (in small doses) in the Apocalypse series of films (made by Cloud Ten Pictures). These films are a bit like the Left Behind series. I also get Dr Van Impe's emails from his website regularly (don't ask me the address, I'm afraid I don't know it! )

I generally watch him when he comes on if I catch him and I don't find anything absolutely alarming per se. He agrees with the Pope a lot as far as things the current Pope has written. He also doesn't get up and beg for money or tell you to "sow your seed" type thing. He sells the Cloud Ten videos, but other than that, he might sell a tape series of two, but nothing alarming.

Mr van Imp is so wrong it isn't funny. He either desn't know where his futuristic teachings come from or he doesn't care. He espouses a Roman catholic doctrine that was invented by the Jesuits in order to takethe attention away from the papacy as the antichrist of the scriptures. Martin Luther recognized the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation identified the papacy as the "little horn" and the "first beast" of Rev 13. This was widely taught as truth until the Jesuits, who were commissioned to put down the reformation, came up with the futurist and preterist methods of prophetic interpretation. They are the ones who first taught of a "gap" between the 69th and 70th weeks of Daniel 9. They also taught of a one man antichrist who would not be known until the very end of time. The Protestants soon discovered this false teaching and the Jesuit trick has worked, so far on most denominations.

Don't be fooled by this trick of the Roman church. Martin Luther was correct in this matter.

Hello Genesda, and welcome to Worthy Boards. Personally at first, I thought

he was alright, however, when I read abook that showed how he honors the pope and the RCC, I just began thinking he is just like the rest.

Don't be too easily molded by opinion, C4C...the Van Impe's love the Lord...They share the gospel continually.

Here's my rebuttal to Miss Genesda:

James 4:14 Brothers, do not slander one another.

James 4:12c But you - who are you to judge your neighbor?

Matt 7:1 Do not judge or you too will be judged...

1 Cor 10:29b For why should my freedom be judged by another's conscience?

Roman 14:10 You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother?

vs 13 Therefore let us stop passing judgement on one another. Instead make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way.

God looks at the heart. Who are we to judge another's servant?

Let's not be guilty atttacking our own brothers.

We need to pick our battles carefully! There IS a time to stand firm but we also need to be careful of doing harm to ourselves.

Amen Cats!

We can't go around bad-mouthing every preacher that comes along. Or any for that matter. What about love your neighbor as yourself! I have seen Mr. Van Impe rebuke the Catholic church for doctrines that he feels are in error and support it for the ones that are true. He and his wife have dedicated thier lives to spreading the gospel. No one is perfect here! We much encourage eachother and pray for eachother.

Remember we are judged for every word.
