Shanbopop~

You've asked a good question and I see that you are new here so this is probably a new question to you. :P Butero has given you a very good answer. We truly don't know when it will be but we are instructed to be ready at any time.

You are right that it appears it could be close at hand but we have no way of knowing. I'm not one to focus too much on end time scenarios, especially the pre-mid-post trib debate because I believe Satan uses that debate to put a wedge between brothers and sisters in Christ. He'll do anything to take the focus off of our relationship with the Lord.

But your question is good.

Be ready at all times.

Rania

2 Thes 2: 1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

2That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

To the original poster, you have a valid question and one that's on the minds of many. It's an exciting time, no? Seems it's just in the air, so to speak. Of course, no one does know the exact time, except God, but we're given plenty of "clues" and told to watch. I don't think God wants us to be clueless about this, guessing all the time, but wants us to be comforted in knowing the time is near.

There's lots of prophecy that's come to pass in our, our parents' and our grandparents' time, including the ability to 'travel to and fro', the increase in knowledge, and the Word being preached worldwide (thanks to satellite, the internet, etc). And the fact that the world will be watching when God's two witnesses are killed in Jerusalam at the mid-point of the tribulation, then raised to life again by God. The world watching is certainly possible now. It will be played and replayed on every television worldwide. Also, 'men will be lovers of self more than lovers of God'--could there be any truer words spoken for the present age? This is just a few.

The convincing prophecy for me though is that the final generation will be the one who witnesses the blossoming of the fig tree. Israel is referred to as the 'fig tree'. Israel returned as a nation in 1948, fulfilling God's promise to Abraham.

Of course, everything going on in the mid-east has caused reg flags to fly in Christian minds too. Especially with the Iran (Persia) thing in the balance. Will we be here to see Iran, Russia, and the others try to wage war on Israel, only to be defeated by God's supernatural intervention? Wonder how the media will explain that?

In my humble opinion, I think we're really, really close. I also think more and more Christians are diligently praying for Christ's return too. The sin in this world is so disgusting for so many. I hope it's soon.

in Christ, r

When is the Rapture? Why does it matter?

Aren't we suopposed to be living each day as if it's our last?

Revelation 1:3

Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.

First of all I want to welcome you to this forum and I hope you stay ;)

Don't take this personal, I do agree the people did not responded very nice to you and I can see you are asking this question to see what other people think of this.

There are a lot of people here that do believe in the Rapture and a lot who believe we have to face persecution first....

Nobody is making fun of you but they just don't want to go in anothere debate about it, if you search through this forum you will find all the answeres you are looking for. They should have responded in another nicer way.

Don't leave I hope some people will apologize to you, sorry you feel this way, I like to share more with you, why not pm me?

Are you a new Christian?

love in Christ, Angels

This explains my view as well.

Shan, please dont leave. You asked a good question, and many answered you quite nicely, like Razberry. Yes some people make jokes. I know I do as well at times. Please dont be offended by this. Stick around and get to know us. There are many here who are kind and considerate, like angel4u. I look forward to reading more posts from you.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
