  1. I loved the series as a young girl but also pulled the books back out and re-read them in my early 30's. I enjoyed them even more. My children were young, life seemed difficult and money was tight. After I read the books again, I realized just how much I had and how easy life was now in comparison to the old days at Walnut Grove! They are a great read!
  2. This is very difficult but do-able. You simply have to do it and I promise you that as each day passes and you remain faithful, it will get easier. When something in your life is not Godly, God will honor you for walking away from it. Satan will try and make you see that you can have the best of both worlds. You don't have to tell them, either. Just walk away. (speaking of internet relationships, of course) Rania
  3. I've met some of the most Godly people in the slums of India. Great post, EricH!
  4. Put your Christ-centered marriage ahead of your kids. They will benefit in the end. And I agree with the poster above. Take the words divorce out of your house. As Christians, it's not an option.
  5. If you are mentally preparing your response while the other person is still talking...................you talk too much. I'm so guilty of this!
  6. This is all painfully true and also good advice. This is worth a re-read. Rania
  7. This was actually a story line recently on either Grey's Anatomy or the spinoff of that show. Bizarre stuff!
  8. Hi, Marilyn! Welcome to Worthy. So what's going on with your father? Rania
  9. What does that have to do with the topic at hand?
  10. Here it is. it's only $10.00 through iTunes. The album has both versions. Great song! http://www.google.com/musicl?lid=wXGvX8z4n...aid=dn3BVP1K_TH
  11. Where in the world did you get this idea? No soil in heaven? No vegies and fruit? You are standing on what will one day be a new earth in it's perfect state. That will be heaven.
  12. O Holy Night as sung by Celine Deon. The whole Christmas album by Rescue.
  13. Eric, Even as a believer, many people struggle with this hollow place inside that needs to be filled. Unfortunately, we often choose sin to fill the void. Especially sexual sin through deed or thought. It makes perfect sense to me that the hollowness inside is something that has not yet been given to the Lord and I would go right along with the OP that this serious void is a lack of intimacy. Nobody is turning this into a dirty novel, but rather looking at this in a different way. We want God to have control of every area of our life and one of the areas he created was our sexual being. It is another area that makes us part of who we are. There is nothing wrong with using a sexual analogy to help understand the intimacy a believer can have with their Creator. We use analogies all the time and just because sex is involved, it doesn't make it dirty. God created it. We've made it dirty. Rania
  14. Vickilynn, Your testimony in this thread really touched me. Rania

  16. Why the taped mouth? You already said it! I have spoken out against the WOF movement but decided to bite my tongue for a while. I think God was teaching me a very good lesson last Sunday. I decided to stay home from the first hour of church and listen to Adrian Rogers but before his show came on there was this wonderful local speaker on that I had never heard of! He really captivated me and everything he spoke was scriptural, without a doubt! I was thanking God that he had led me to listen to this particular television sermon and right after I said that, the pastor mentioned that he was part of the WOF movement. I was stunned. I was also feeling a bit guilty that I had lumped all WOF into one lump of heresy. In every denomination there are problems and pastors who take wayward paths. I clearly believe God was telling me to be aware and be alert, but be careful with the harshness of my words. I believe strongly in uncovering false doctrine but I worry more about tearing down a man of God who is still growing and learning as the rest of us are. Sorry about the rabbit trail. WOF=Word of Faith
  17. Purpose Driven Life was not meant to be a deep read for mature Christians. And to the OP, if you want to know what Rick Warren has to say, go to his own site and read his own words. Don't make your judgements based on other web site's opinions.
  18. Amen. This has been going on all day and it's really getting old. Even though many of us aren't posting, we still enjoy reading along and like I said.......this is getting old.
