:emot-hug: Why are some healed and others not? How do you know if you are lacking faith or it's just not his will for you to be healed? Because the Bible says we are healed by the stripes Jesus took. And some preachers say the reason you are not healed is because you lack faith and thats discouraging. If thats the case, that doesn't make you feel good about your salvation then. If you lack faith in healing, how do you know you have faith for salvation. It's so confusing and discouraging. Especially when you pray for so long, and have others pray with you and agree. Like when the Bible says if two or three agree as touching anything that our Heavenly Father will give to you. I have injuries and things that I need healing and its so discouraging sometimes. Thanks for any advice you can give. God bless!

Sport, my wife started showing symptoms of M.S. a bit longer than 15 years ago. It was one of those things that starts out bad and then gets better then bad then better. I was asking for her to be healed and asking for some sign as to whether or not I was the problem because she was not totally healed. Well this rocked along for a while and in one of those times of despair I ask from the deepest part of my being for her to be alright. The answer I got back was that she basically would be functional, but He would not completely heal her. I got this from many different places and ways.

Well to make a long story shorter one night late I was praying and reading the Bible and asking for some scripture that would help my dispare....... then I sort of broke and I got up totally furious at Him and tossed my Bible on the coffee table and stood up, looked up and in total desperation and anger demanded to know why she wasn't healed. I reminded Him of the scriptures and He knew I believed and had all the faith in the world or I would not be so upset. I demanded to know why he would not heal her..... not once but three times.

So here I am standing in my living room late at night fully expecting a large blue bolt of lightening to escort me into the fiery pits of hell......... instead I heard an actual voice.... either in my head or my ears I don't know which. It was so kind and patient and loving that I can't really describe it. It simply said, "Sam...... it's really none of your business."

Now of all the things one could conger up in ones own mind, that was not what I would have ever considered...... so, I truly think that God spoke to me that night on a very personal level.

So I would tell you that with all my heart I can tell you the answer to your question of why some people are healed and others are not......... "It's really none of your business." And I truly think it came from God Himself.

Sam

tess made a point i'd like to reiterrate. God DOES heal us, but sometimes the ultimate healing is done in heaven. when our earthly life is over, we live in heaven and never experience anymore pain, anymore suffering, any more imperfections. the cancer patient on earth has no cancer in heaven. the double-amputee on earth will have a whole body made perfect in heaven.

there are scriptures in isaiah, forget which chapter, that deal with this issue... how men ponder why the unrighteous survive and the righteous are often taken away. and then goes on to remind us that we know not what was in store for the future of the righteous had they lived. God sees the bigger picture, and often calls home those who love Him because their work for Him on earth is complete, or to spare them from something that they would be unable to bear.

other scriptures describe how sometimes the death of a person who loves God is a much more far-reaching testimony which brings many more to know God than their actual life was. (

I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. (John 12:24 NIV)

I am reading a book that will answer your questions. This is the best book I have ever read on this subject. The title is "The Bible cure" by Dr. Reginald Cherry. I found my copy in Books a Million. I'm sure you can find it in any bookstore. I found it in the Health area. You may be able to find it in your local library. It's worth the effort to find a copy. God bless you. Ben

Sam, actually there is Scripture to support this belief. When the resurrected Jesus was walking with Peter, Peter turned and upon seeing John, the disciple whom Jesus loved, asked, "Lord, what about him?" Jesus responded, ""If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me." re: John 21:21,22

btw... How is your wife doing today? Bless you brother.

God has many reasons for not healing His children. Some are because His Spirit knows it is not the rite time for ones healing? Another may be that those seeking healing may not choose to be healed? there is divine healing of course. Then their is healing through Gods children for others. Wanting healing just because we say we want healing ,simply may not be true. If we don't even know what to pray for at times and use our Holy language to pray for what's wrong with us, isn't it possible that we can miss this mark also? We say heal me O'God, yet choose not to act on our faith. Does this show our God how serious we really are in seeking our healing? I have worked with many who would rather keep their afflictions than actually receive their healing. Why would a christian do this , you might ask? Either they aren't strong enough in the Word of God ,or they have made a personal choice to not want healing? They love their affliction more than what the healing would bring them should leave them with?It is absurd to think any christian doesn't have a place for misery loves company? What would the healing leave them with? Why they might then have to make a choice to love thier God more, read their bible more, become more committed to their personal relationship with their God, in other words they might have to be responsible for their spiritual walk, aside from their fear of the unknown should they make a choice to change for their God. Coming out of a world of sin and selfishness as we all do, we find we must make many choices. We do, and although they may be in error , we still make them until we start making the right ones for God and us? I also believe as Tess does above me, and as several have stated, I wouldn't give you a pittance for these so called pastors who still tell their sheep that they need more faith to be healed. Who are these men who know nothing of healing ,who think they know how God does things within His children. Are they up on something we all don't know? the last I heard was( " My ways are not your ways,my thoughts are not your thoughts"? )God is saying this ,unless many of us have been instructed by the Holy Spirit to say this and know God that deep I would question that preacher for putting out trash, for he is not of God ,or needs a lobotomy. After all they are nothing but men, and we certainly need more faith in Jesus not man!

In HIs love,

I cannot tell you why everyone is not healed. The Bible gives many examples for us to look at in our circumstances. If you are seeking healing and have not yet seen it manifested, don't give up. Keep believing and let the Lord show you what He wants to through it all. Sometimes we are simply standing on proving ground. When He comes through for us in those times there is one thing for certain, that experience will be there when we find ourselves in the place David did, and we have to encourage ourselves in the Lord because there is no one there to encourage us or give us a word from the Lord, etc..

Those are the, know that you know places, and NO one on earth or devilish principalities, can tell us other wise!! :-) Hold fast to His word and trust Him to come through for you, in His time and in His way. I have experienced the Lord's healing several times that stand out because He has chosen not to heal me in exactly the same way each time. Those are proving times that help me keep the faith that no matter what comes my way, He has everything under control. He sees my need and He will meet it...but even if He didn't...I'm going to keep believing anyway...because I KNOW He is my healer... but most of all...He's my Saviour, Lord and Best Friend. He works all things out for our good.

O how I love Jesus!!! He's been so good to me.

Lord, have Your way in my life, and I thank You and praise You through it all.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
