What is the Gospel. How do you get saved and stay saved?

God is not counting anyones sins against them, no ones sins are sending them to hell: 2 Cor 5:19. The Holy Spirit is only convicting the world of one sin, rejecting Jesus: John 16:7-11. The only thing that will send someone to Hell is not believing in Jesus

John 3

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God . 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God."

The Gospel is the Good News of Jesus Christ. If you add anything else to the message, if you put any other stipulations on salvation other than Faith in Jesus Christ then you are preaching a false Gospel.

When we sanctify Jesus as Lord in our hearts, we HAVE asked Him in and we have asked for forgiveness. Our first obedience to God is to be baptised in water. We also worship and are baptised in the Holy Spirit. We aew born of water and Spirit to wroship God.

Yes, we are saved by what Christ has done.

But , there is more to being a mature Christian that happens after we recieve Christ. It would be confusing to a new or non-believer to hear this you have said, because it does not show that we are to grow in Christ in so many ways, closer and closer to Christ and the Holy Spirit living in us. We must not negglect the Spirit within us, the gift of Christ in us.

Yes, we are saved by Christs work alone on the cross. But, there is more to serving God and not to take it for granted But, to serve God with our whole heart, mind and soul! For God creates of us a new creature in Christ.

I don't want to argue such a Holy subject.

Simply am saying there is a needed Christian growth lest our roots not grow deep in Christ. We are to grow in Christ in our relationship and in our walk serving Him.

JohnZ said that the only thing that will send someone to Hell is not believing in Jesus Christ. I agree. The only way to heaven is by having faith in what Jesus Christ did on the cross. Once you have that faith you must receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. Once you are born again you are guaranteed a place in heaven. Now you must live for God. After you have that blessed assurance you must remain in the Vine and bear spiritual fruit. This fruit doesn't save you because you are already saved, but it shows the world who your Lord is. It makes them want to have what you have. Because of your obedience to the Holy Spirit others will be saved.

Caution! A Christian isn't saved just so we can go to heaven. We are not saved to do our will on earth and do what we want. We are not saved to live in sin and still be permitted into heaven. We are saved so that the Holy Spirit can work through us and do the will of the Father. We are not to be slaves of sin anymore but to be slaves of Christ!

Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures... ~1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (NIV)

Matthew 4:17 says: For that time Jesus began to preach and to say, "Repent, for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand."

Matthew 9:13 But go and learn what this means: I desire mercy and not sacrifice. For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance."

Matthew 21:But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first and said, Son, go, work today in my vineyard. He answered and said, I will not, but afterward he regretted it and went. Then he came to the second and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir, but he did not go. Which of the two did the will of his father? They said to him, "The first." Jesus said to them, Assuredly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom before you. For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him; but tax collectors and harlots believed him; and when you saw it, you did not afterward repent and believe him.

Mark 1:14-15 Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand.

Repent, and believe in the gospel."

Mark 2:17 When Jesus heard it, He said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance."

Mark 6:12 So they went out and preached that people should repent.

*****Luke 24:46-47 Then He said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, "and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.*****

Sin Separates us from God, it is only through repentance and the finish work of the Cross that we are saved from the death sin requires. According to Romans 10:9-10 For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. Our righteousness-or right standing is completely restored to God-so that we walk IN CHRIST and in fellowship with the father.

What are we saved from?? The penalty of Sin is death?

Thank You Jesus that you deliever us and set us free. For who the son has set free, is free in deed!!!

And! Perhaps the hardest of all is the last and the main problem.

To all Christians who believe Jesus is the Christ already; now they must start obeying what Jesus said to do and quit making up their own rules.

Jesus is Christ, He is the Messiah. You calling that a "problem" is questionable, at best.

Hi!

Today the term "Christian" is used by just about everyone that has anything to do with Jesus Christ.

Some people think that everyone in America is a Christian and everyone in Mexico is a Catholic, but that doesn't make it so.

I never said or implied that those who TRULY BELIEVE in Jesus was the problem or that he wasn't the Christ.

I implied that those who call themselves Christians who THINK that they are believing in Jesus but don't believe the WAY Jesus said to believe; they are the problem!

Just about every book in the New Testament warns us of false believers and teachers in the true church. Not out side but inside the church! These are not my words but the scripture. They are false Christians.

Just like the Pharisees thought they believed in the God of Abraham and thought that would save them. Jesus said their belief wasn't based on the truth, so it couldn't save them.

If a (so called) Christian's faith or belief is based on a falsehood, it becomes a false belief and it can't save them either.

For example:

Ananias and Sapphira believed that Jesus was the Christ and were part of the church, but greed got hold of them and they lied to the Holy Spirit and died. Act 5. Just saying you believe or thinking it doesn't make it true if you don't follow Jesus the way he says to.

Another example:

Today we have religions that call themselves Christians but don

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
