It's been great for me to have the freedom of exploring ideas about our faith in a free forum where there is no condemnation for raising a question that often happens in religous circles.

How has Worthy NOT helped?

I will delve into my testimony, as abbreviated as possible, lol, but I will get to Worthy I promise! :)

I gave my life to God as a teen. As a young adult, I found myself backslidden; it wasn't something I intended to do, but it happened. I would make attempts at living for God again but I always seemed to fall short. Almost 5 years ago, I finally turned my life back to Him. In 2003, I went through one of the most trying circumstances-I lost my job through no fault of my own. A few months after that I "stumbled" across Worthy! God has used Worthy to keep me on a stable footing. I know that I have friends, Christian friends, that I can come to when things go wrong and they're here to support me. When the church I was going to started turning heretical, I knew I could still come here and get sound Christian prayer!

God has also allowed me to help here. George asked me about 1 1/2 years ago to be part of a new program he felt led to institute-Watchmen on the Wall. I feel privileged that God would allow me to serve in such a great way in what is truly a worldwide ministry. I've had the privilege of praying with those in doubt or who are struggling in chat and one of the greatest things was seeing Nik (Bread of Life) giving his heart to the Lord.

Again I have to ask-how has Worthy not helped?

I can't help but noticed there are a lot of stories here on this forum. A lot of injured and abused Christians disconnected it seems from the church either emotionally or entirely out of church. These individuals seem to crave a feeling of belonging or participation in something. Is there anyone here can tell me what need Worthy Boards has met in your life? Has anyone successfully used something gained here to improve your outlook or brought about healing? By the way, it has helped me heal from some emotional trauma, that is why I ask?

I met a really faithful young woman on here. She is a very good friend! Never fails to write to me and say at least "Hello" when she can write. So I made at least one true friend on here at Worthyboards.

I experienced a severe betrayal in my personal life last year, and as a minister there was really no one who could comfort me during the evening hours when my mind drifted to this emotional pain. So I came to worthy boards to meet some friends unrelated to my ministry or even aware of my pain. This forum gave me an outlet for expression and interesting conversation that kept the tempter off my back. Thank you everyone.

i have already learned alot here on these boards. such as the scripture K.L. shared from hebrews, i was looking for that exact scripture a while ago, the forsake not the assembling yourselves together...., reference someone that was saying the bible did not require us to go to church. anywhere we assemble, (get together) to study the word, is i believe, a church, and where 2 or more are assembled in my name, there i will be, (i think that is right). anyway, as to whether or not these boards have helped my life, yes, i have to dig deeper into the bible to discuss the issues and keep up with the discussion, although sometimes i get left in the dust, it won't always be that way. also it has enabled me to share with others looking for answers, and it is when i am looking for their answers, whether in the bible or in my mind and soul, is when i learn the most. i don't always agree with what i see here, but it makes me study the prove up or back down. all this and i have only been coming here several months, i think. i like it here.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
