If you were a non-believer with half a brain and you turned on TBN, what would you initial thoughts be? "Hmmmmm...Gee...this makes me want to learn more about Jesus?"

If you were a non believer with half a brain and you turned on TBN you would only have half a brain to be deceived, thereby only finding out half the truth.

Perhaps the single greatest tragedy is that much of the "TBN-Doctrine" and "TBN-Attitude" has found it's way into the Church.

Money is so much a central theme of todays churches. Mega-churches not associated with TBN, teaching how to have a Mega-church.

Look at the small fellowship of the first church. A few men, healing, teaching, and many being saved by these few men. Who submitted to Holy Spirit.

We do not see this today.

All these mega-churches, yet void of Holy Spirit gifts.

Why?

Where is the healing, and miracles in the most evangilized Nation on earth?

Something is gravely wrong.

Almost everything I see on TBN appears to be garbage that can only serve to fuel the war against Christ and his followers. Lately, however, I have found a few programs worth watching late at night. I wish I knew the name of the programs they showed. The most recent was about Paul and his ministry. I can only surmise that the "leadership" at TBN must be asleep allowing someone to play programs that actualy serve to glorify God and feed his flock.

That is part of my problem-I've been drinking too many sodas instead of water. I done so good for a while drinking a lot of water but not lately!

Try not drinking ANY cafinated drinks for a week or so. I stopped drinking sodas, tea and coffee over a year ago. There are soo many benefits. I sleep sounder and I sleep LESS. You will be saving your teeth and taking in fewer calories to boot. I watch my co-workers come to work and they either have to have a soda or cup of coffee first thing in the morning. I have also noticed that I rarely yawn while I see a few of my co-workers yawning alot. Give it a try. Whats to loose?

Not everyone who's "show" is televised on TBN is part of the "TBN Family." TBN acts mostly as a conduit for the Word Faith movement, to preach the "unique" TBN message, but it also provides airspace for other ministries to promote their messages. Sadly some of the ministries that buy airspace from TBN eventually become part of the TBN family and therefore start to promote the typical TBN brand of heresy. The attraction to "join the family" is usually money.

Jan always prided herself on her "taste" for interior decorating. She pretty much designed all the sets, and the office decor. It really bothered her that employees brought in little pictures, crosses and other types of personal decorative items and placed them around their desks.

I had been a watcher of TBN for quite a few years. I have so wanted to believe their message. I have in the past supported many of the preachers who are on their network. But I'm still as broke as I ever was.

Not so long ago, I was considering starting a thread on WB about how angry I am because my journey doesn't seem to be their journeys.

I have not been able to watch TBN or any of their preachers now for about I'd say at least a year, although I may have listened to JDM after the Katrina hurricane.

But I can no longer listen to any of them.

I haven't been a member here at WB for all that long, so I have never ran across this thread until it was recently bumped. I'm not all that with the computer world if you know what I mean. I guess what I trying to say can be put like this; I have been in a turmoil, but God has confirmed some of the questions I have been struggling with. So, for me this thread has been confirmation from God. Maybe now, I can be able to have some peace and put some of my issues to rest. Thank You. .......jmh137

It Breaks my heart to hear all this about TBN!

I have heard testimonies from people whom I have actually met, who were saved through listening to a TBN program. (God can use whatever he chooses to get his message out!)

In the end... those who use deception will give accountability to God!

It breaks my heart too. My best friend Katie who died of breast cancer at the age of 47, she and I along with our friend Charlie, from our church would either meet at my house or Katies every night eat and watch TBN until we could keep our eyes open. I knew money had become top on their list but I had no idea this was going on. No wonder they didn't do anything about Benny Hinn when he was caught in his scandal. God must be sickend, I know I am.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
