On TBN....

Every year VTN, our local Christian network, gets Steve Munsy to host at least one day of telethons. Sometimes, I tune in just to get a laugh from him and his "fun with numbers!" If you don't know, I'll pass along about his number deal!

Well, Steve Munsy gets up there and has all of these huge numbers on big cards that he will sit in fold-out chairs. The guy looks comical to begin with. Do you remember a character on The Beverly Hillbillies named Quirt Manley? He was on one episode and was a shoot 'em up "cowboy", but everything about him was comical. Well, he looks like the guy who played Quirt Manley. He gets up there and tells you how that the number 6 is a triple blessing because God said creation was good 3 times on the 6th day! Then, we're entering the 3rd century since Christ's birth and the 7th century since the beginning of the world, so therefore you need to send a $73 per month love offering to VTN! Of course, there are those who can send more such as $73,000 also and you know it's you if God is speaking to you! You have got to see this guy sometime!

I watch TBN occasionally. I enjoy the music and ministry around the world.I don't think God-man's details were all that terrifying for a large ministry. Maybe Jan was having a bad hair day or something.

Do they write and sell books and have investments and their own money outside the ministry salary? Just asking.

I'm glad the gospel is spread around the world through their ministry, even if some don't agree with prosperity, they still preach Jesus is Lord and their is no other way to the Father but through him.

. . . except they don't preach obedience unto Christ to make Him Lord. What exactly do they preach? except send money?

I would just like to know what their ministry salary is. I know they take in very large amounts of money every month. I personally know 2 people that used to give about $1,000 a month.

It's one thing to preach Jesus but it is another to have their actions give possibility for others to stumble (and I'm afraid with the pink hair someone may think it's make believe). :x:

Do they really preach Jesus as Lord? Della Reese getting on there and telling you to look to the Christ within? That's very new-ageish. Benny Hinn getting on there wanting to have a Holy Ghost machine gun to shoot people with? Paul Crouch proclaiming death to those who don't agree and saying he is a little god, critics be gone? Benny Hinn saying he is a little Messiah walking the earth? Allowing Kenneth Copeland to call my God the biggest failure in the world? That, friend, isn't preaching Christ as Lord!

Woah!!!!!!!! I didn't know about half of that stuff. Man they didn't do that back in the early 90's when I watched them all the time.

By the way I wonder how Jan takes her makeup off. sandblaster?
