Sorry, that does not compute. I made no reference to jokes or humor. Whatever you are trying to say didn't get across.

As for the other comments, I'm not boo-hooing for TBN. I couldn't care less about TBN, they could go off the air tomorrow and the Christian world would be better off , IMO. I'm merely giving my OPINION on this whole thing.

DAGGONE-I realy get so down in the dumps when folks just can't "see" the "hurt-pain-humiliation-

broken-hearted-spirits of brothers & sisters that have been almost destroyed--spiritually,

emotionally-financially-or their trials have just been ignored or discounted as "not" Biblicly correct

or stated fairly to the offending party{ies}--I don't know "why" that is but it happens every now & then.....WHY is that?? I knew a fellah once, was supposed to be a "good-friend".....He had a bad habit of bringing up a subject, usually about "someone" else that maybe had done something that just wasn't "quite-christian-like" & would want your {my} opinion about "this"..WeLL, i fell for "this"

little "ploy" a few times & then finally figured it out....What started me to thinking was after a "few"

of these incidents of asking "my opinion" I would get some very "funny--strange--weird LOOKS" from some church members- some just didn't want to be around me or talk to me at all......SO, I

started just listening to others "talking" before or after church---Come to find out--it was all over church that {I} couldn't be "trusted" I was a "gossip-monger"liked to "talk" about folks behind their back---WeLL i was stunned--shocked-hurt-wounded-in great emotional distress---woww---I went home--cried---prayed--read the word-prayed-cried some more--"THEN" i started "thinking"HOW &

who had i been "slandering--gossiping about?"WeLL, it took a while but IT finally hit me---MY "FRIEND" was the only one I had talked to that could have said i was a "gossip"because I had not spoken to anyone else in the church about "this" certain person that had done anything that might possibly have been termed"unchristian like"....WeLL just some more ramblin on, so gotta go now----GOD-BLESS-ALL-TRUTHSEEKERS------------------------Gary-- ;)

You are anything but a "gossip monger" we don't even tell each other about our private messages received from those on the board.

Just wanted to jump back in here and make sure you know I'm not ragging on you, GMan. Like I said, I think I know your heart from what I know of you, and I don't doubt your words at all. I just am uncomfortable with a big meeting about someone if the someone can't defend themselves. I've seen it in churches and it is so hurtful, I think that's what this brought to mind. Whenever someone comes to me in RL and says "so and so did this....or said that......" I stop them in their tracks and say "let's go get so and so, so this is all out in the open and everyone is present". I think that's our obligation -the only point I was trying to make.

;-)

I uderstand where you are coming from. If I remember correctly, though, the original poasting was a response to some concerns regarding TBN. It was more or less intended to help others understand where I was coming from. And since I had made references before to working for TBN and being under their ministry, I thought I would "tell my tale." I received a couple of PMs prior to this encouraging me to share the story, and thought it would benefit a couple of Worthy posters that were struggling with the WOF monement. This post was not intended to be gossip or to level any accusation at anybody.

I believe that TBN is very well of their leadership problems on the corporate side. And I believe that they have been confronted with these issues before. I had a very good friend that worked there for a couple of years after I left, who experienced many of the same issues I brought up here. His mother was actually the executive secretary in the business office, so he was very familiar with some of the "higher ups." However, when he went to these people to get some of these issues ironed out, he was given the old "okey doke" and sent back to work. A couple of weeks later he was fired for insubordination.

As I wrote in the original post, I do believe that there ae genuine brothers and sisters working there, and even running the production studio. But sadly many of them are caught up in something that they cannot be freed from, or do not want to be freed from.

IN any case, this post was not for accusation, it was intended to be a short testimony of my experiences at TBN for anyone who might be helped by it.

I respect and value your opinion, brother. I think you are right. TBN does need to have the opportunity to defend itself. But I think that the evidence thus far has shown that they have done a pretty poor job of it. There have been investigations of Trinity by HBO and CNN. These are not Christian networks, and the investigators were most likely not Christian. So I think that there is a great tendency for their exposes to be slanted. TBN does not have to answer any of those people - and probably has the right to call them "heresy hunters."

However, some reputable Christians have also come to TBN in the past and asked them about the problems in their theology and doctrine, and the money issue. They asked sincerely and, I believe, with honor. Yet TBN and the crouch's still label these people heresy hunters, and have even said that they are under God's curse. That's just not kosher. Any so called "Christian ministry" should be perfectly willing to address concerns about their doctrine in an open manner, with the willingness for fellowship and recovery. I think that TBN has shown the evengelical community in general that it really only cares for its work and its own bent on the gospel.

This is just my opinion, saints. Take it however you will.

Much Grace,

~G

Ok now this one brought me out of retirement! I dont have time lately to get on and correspond much, thats why i retired but i gotta say God-Man i dont think you are bitter or out of line at all in exposing this....Who better than someone who knows and has been there. We as christians are too "careful" and think we are being unloving if we call a snake a snake or sin, sin. Was that Jesus' attitude with the pharisees? Dont think so. Not enough out there with backbone like this. Thanks God-Man, these people have been fleeceing the sheep for a long time and people need to get their eyes open. I've saw many a thing on t.b.n. that made my red flag go up...They dont represent the Jesus i know, they represent a materialistic God for a lodician chuch. Check out who the real Jesus is in his word! I see no resemblance to all that glitter and fluff and man patting man on the back. They dont know what it is to pay the cost of a crucified lifestyle OBVIOUSLY!! Do i sound bitter? No, just tired of my God being misrepresented by a brood of clueless vipors.

Don't hold back now, Jamie, tell us how you REALLY feel about those bums. LOL

I hear you. I'm usually the fighter also and am not into rose colored glasses. Amen to what you said:

We as christians are too "careful" and think we are being unloving if we call a snake a snake or sin, sin.
Amen again. It is a fine line, though, between exposing sin and:

GMan, I'm a girl, lol. ;-). I think I feel the way I do because you aren't joe-blow viewer, but someone from the 'inside', which gives your story much credibilty. That's some serious stuff. That's all. ;)

I think the DEFINING thing is the motive of the heart. And, as I already said, I don't think GMan had any bad motives at all. It just reminded me of some hurtful things that I've seen in church. Some "Christian" decides that somebody needs exposed, let's have a big meeting about it, but the poor victim doesn't even know or get a chance to defend themselves. Very hurtful. And not Biblical at all. Of course, the motiviation is different here, so I should probably just shut up. icon_sprint.gif

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
