This bit of curiosity is something that a good portion of us have gone through. And I understand that people sometimes get tired of discussing it. But if we ignore it because it is old hat to some of us and we hem and haw around it with boredom, then those who are learning will be stifled.

The end IS near. We must be patient and endure. Prophesy is a wonderful gift that God gave to show us things into our future with Him. Intrigue is bound to happen.

And I too believe that we are in them and that things are different than they used to be it IS evident all around us. Some prophesies have been fulfilled and others are yet to come. In the meantime look for Jesus in the clouds and keep digging only GOD knows the whole truth. :emot-highfive:

I don't believe in date-setting, but Jesus did warn us that even though we don't know the hour, to know the season.

Mat 24:32 "Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near;

Mat 24:33 so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, {right} at the door.

Why would He tell us this if He didn't want us to look for the signs? Yes, we have had wars and earthquakes and everything for hundreds of years but these things are arguably getting more frequent and with bigger intensity (as birth pangs). Also, there are conditions that we have now that we didn't have for hundreds of years, like the Jews returning to their land for instance. The last days probably started after Christ's death and ressurection, but we are definitely living in the last days of the last days.

yes the end is only known to God.

God is wonderful and gave us his word to show us just how close he is to coming. He gave his word to show us signs of the times, sort of like a map.

Agree God only knows, but he loves us and warns us through his word, YOU BETTER BE Ready, HERE I COME.

 YUP!!

Mar 13:31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Mar 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Mar 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

My opinion is that all of these things have been happening for hundreds of years.

These prophesies were fulfilled decades ago.

They have been happening for hundreds of years. Just not with the same frequency. these things are happening closer and closer together. Look up for He is soon coming.

Luke 21:20-32

20 "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then recognize that her desolation is at hand. 21 "Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let those who are in the midst of the city depart, and let not those who are in the country enter the city; 22 because these are days of vengeance, in order that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23 "Woe to those who are with child and to those who nurse babes in those days; for there will be great distress upon the land, and wrath to this people, 24 and they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trampled under foot by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

25 "And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and upon the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, 26 men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 "And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 "But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."

29 And He told them a parable: "Behold the fig tree and all the trees; 30 as soon as they put forth leaves, you see it and know for yourselves that summer is now near. 31 "Even so you, too, when you see these things happening, recognize that the kingdom of God is near. 32 "Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all things take place.

NASB

When Jesus was asked about the end and His coming he divided up the the things that would happen in the days of the apostles and end times. The dividing line was the fulfillment of the times of the Gentiles. In Matthew and Mark the dividing was the gospel preached unto all the world (which would be near impossible to define day by day)

That pivotal thing according to what I read and understand is when Jerusalem is not trodden down by the Gentiles which was made on June 10, 1967. Jerusalem is now controlled by the free nation of Israel..... It is my opinion that the last generation that will not pass started on that day.

I can't tell for certain what the exact length of time is within the statement "this generation will not pass away until all things take place. I've heard 40 years, 45 years, 48 years, 52 years and 70 years......... I'm leaning on about 45 years as a guess, but would personally prefer the 70 year one.

fact is, its far more than close... this prophesy is just the beginning of the pangs of distress. in short you aint seen nothing yet! this is an interesting prophesy because for one, it is Jesus prophesying and two, he tied this prophesy in with daniels prophesy. daniels words take you from the last days right into the great tribulation and then ties in where johns prophesy at revelations picks up. both daniel and johns prophesy are needed to accurately understand and complete the prophesy of the end. Jesus merely uses clues to look for knowing that the end is near, daniel tells all that is to happen and where to look for the last thing thing to happen that will bring about the great tribulation. true only God knows the exact time, however through daniel God uses a high ranking angel to explain all of this, even fotelling that no man would be able to understand it till God decided it was time for it to be understood (now). daniel revealed that a king of the north would be drawn out by God making info (still unknown) reach this king, this will cause him to attack Gods holy ones (the remaining of the 144,000 still living on earth), satan will draw up all the worlds military forces to war... but Jesus says first the good news must be preached over all the earth for a witness (no man can truthfully say he had not recieved an opportunity to know the truth upon the handing down of his or her judgement), and then the end (daniel and johns prophesy) will come.........

there is no need in looking for signs anymore. these are the last days... Gods work of preaching the good news must reach all tribes and tongues and nations first, then daniels prophesy will take place. it is impossible to accurately date set so to speak, but the prophesy is correct ant God promises it will not be late. there will be a king the 8th in johns prophesy to be the last the 7th is already here, daniel has fortold all the kings or leaders in the battle of the north and south, all kings have come and gone except the last king of the south (the USA) and the king of the north(still unknown till God draws him out)... there isnt much of a prophesy left, so all of Jesus' true followers are intent on one thing because they, through God will deliver this news through all the earth, bringing about the tribulation... then armageddon.........

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
