Dear Fiosh,

It can be conquered in the Healing Grace and Mercies of Christ.

I think that hands on prayers annointing with oil and also councelling to deal with the underlying issues would help ever so much.

There is not anything that God cannot heal.

The Holy Spirit living in us will guide and heal and dicern our needs and make them known to us.

If you would like to write me, please do.

Love and prayers in Christ Jesus Saviour of the world,

elkie

AMen, so true.

God and his grace can heal.

When I was younger, I went through Bulimia. I lost about 40 pounds in a short time. What helped me was I got sick and people noticed and prayed for me. I wanted help, and sought Jesus. THere is way more to it, but I can tell you in the end, Jesus helped.

It can be helped by God. I pray it will, and everyone has the faith to know it will.

The Lord truely does it. My parents tried as much as they could. My kidneys were affected by it and a doctor scared the Life into me. He told me that he had just lost a patient and he didnt want me to go that route. Although I began eating normally over time. I had to deal with the distortion of what I saw in the mirror for about 4 years-but I didnt know to take authority over that.

Pray for her and bind the spirit from working against her by the name of Jesus. Watch what the Lord does when you pray in secret.

Pray that the underlying issue will be revealed and be dealt with quickly (abuse, etc)

#1. Stop comparing your body with that of other people.

#2. STOP calling yourself fat as you oggle at yourself in the mirror, searching out imperfections that are not there.

#3. Pray! Sit down with God and have him work out a food plan for each day and stick to it.

#4. Watch the Karen Carpenter movie! It came out several years ago.

Anorexia is often more about control than anything else, which is why so many young girls fall into the trap. Not only do they have a desire to look good for everyone else, they ultimately can control what goes in, or doesn't go in their mouth, which gives them a sense that they are at least in command of some area of their life.

Anorexia is an exhausting condition mentally and will eventually take its toll physically. Take control of it now while you can. Commit yourself to eat healthy and exercise. Make being healthy the goal. If not, if a person begins to eat again once they have more of a sense of control over their lives or they no longer feel the need to punish themselves or someone else, the body will begin to pack on the pounds and it can be very difficult to get that weight off without some serious divine intervention because your body will want to protect itself from being starved. God bless you and I pray you beat this thing! My sister and I both went through it. At least you are trying to get help which is more than ALOT of people dealing with this will do.

A mirror is like the friend you don't want, it will show you all your imperfections but refuse to show you the good things in you which outnumber the bad things in your looks

I dealt with, and still deal with on a daily basis, bulimia. I would be more than happy to talk with you - we can talk every day if you want!

I am still learning how to control my eating habits - I want to binge and still have that desire to purge....but I am trying to conquer that by feeding myself/purging myself spiritually. I read my Bible when I want to binge - and I snack on a heatlhy food while doing it. Then when I feel that need to purge, I pray - I ask God to purge me of those feelings and help me get on track. I also pray for any sins I may have committed....I just ask Him to guide me.

It's hard - I deal with it every single day....and I don't always handle it perfectly....but I know God is with me and is working with me to overcome this.

PM me if you want!

My sister had anorexia. I'm not totally sure what she did to overcome it but I think she did have councilling at one point. She isn't a Christian (that I'm aware) so it isn't likely that she prayed or anything but that would be good advice.

Ok, for Seashell's benefit (per our PMs), I need to clarify what I said. I would never say that you can be completely cured of an eating disoder...I mean, it is a mental disorder or a mind game you play instead of a physical disorder. I am not cured...but I am better....God helps me get through it on a daily basis....I struggle every day.....I want to binge and purge...I don't want to get fat, which is what I feel like I am all the time...I don't want to struggle with the scales...but I do. BUT....with God's help you can learn to cope and stop feeling so down on yourself...it's all about learning to love yourself the way you are....it's hard, but a person can get better. I just wanted to clarify that I'm not saying everyone should be able to be CURED...there is a difference between getting better and being cured.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
