APOSTASY ALERT...Jackie Alnor-may 27,2006-Moriel Ministries/email alert.

there is a new term being brandished against those in the church called as watchmen. it used to be "heresy hunters", but now we're being called "neo-pharisees". the former label was made popular by TBN'S, Paul Crouch, against those who exposed the false doctrines of TBN regulars who taught the positive confessional/word faith teachings they utilized to get the viewers to pay them for God's favors.

the new term is courtesy of the emerging church using such demogogy against anyone who dares to point out the occult/mystical roots of contemplatative prayer and iconology.

Before you start casting aspersions at Paul and Jan Crouch, sit down, clam up, listen good, and you just might learn what calibre of people you're slandering.

Years ago, when I was one of the founders of a correspondence Bible College, we had directed that anyone incarcerated in prison could take their courses free of charge upon recommendation of their chaplain. This of course, was running us broke (us personally, not JUST the Bible College!). At our last extremity, we got an extremely high and glowing recommendation for a man to take our courses. We were all too broke to buy his required books, and I wrote to Paul and Jan and asked TBN to buy ALL this man's books (no small amount of money was required). Now Paul and Jan Crouch didn't know me from Adam, yet wthin less than two weeks, we received a check from Paul and Jan's PERSONAL ACCOUNT!

My experience of life has taught me that all of us tend to judge the world around us by what we know ourselves to be. That the Crouches are trusting, indicates to me that they are also trustworthy.

You, on the other hand, come to slander, and to speak of them as evil. Which makes me think this too probably comes from introspection.

If there is any proof whatsoever that the crouches teach heresy, it should be known...and backed up with evidence. We aren't supposed to listen to false prophets. I know they used to be involved in the Word of Faith Heresy, (I'd be glad to dig up quotes if necessary, though it may take a while because I haven't worked on debunking WOF for years), but I can't say whether they are or are not still involved in it.

However, I do believe that TBN and the emergent church are not affiliated with each other. The emergent church movement is quite different from WOF and working in different sectors of the visible professing church

All a person has to do is watch a TBN praise-a-thon to hear false teaching.

Here are a couple of quotes from Mr. Crouch on those who would dare question his teachings on "giving" to TBN.

http://www.ondoctrine.com/10tbn.htm#giving

God, we proclaim death to anything or anyone that will lift a hand against this network and this ministry that belongs to You, God. It is Your work, it is Your idea, it is Your property, it is Your airwaves, it is Your world, and we proclaim death to anything that would stand in the way of God's great voice of proclamation to the whole world. In the Name of Jesus, and all the people said Amen!

Praise The Lord television program on November 7, 1997

"To hell with you! Get out of my life! Get out of the way! I say get out of God's way! Quit blocking God's bridges or God's going to shoot you if I don't. I don't even want to even talk to you or hear you! I don't want to see your ugly face!"

I have personally heard a man named RW Shambach on a TBN telethon tell viewers that if they write a check to TBN in faith even if they don't have the money in their checking accounts at that moment, God will see to it that money will be there and that God will reward the giver by blessing his or her donation 100 to 1000 fold.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 Peter 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

2 Peter 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Saint Patrick ran the snakes out of blessed Ireland but there would not be enough hours in the day for him to do the same to all of the serpents on TBN, the land of big hair, suits with too many buttons and heresy by the truckload. It is sad indeed to see some genuine men of the church cozy up to these snake oil salesmen and pay tribute to the Crouchs just to peddle their books.

Doctrine is important. It isn't about liking or disliking programs on TBN. If you guys don't have a problem with people like Jesse Duplantis and his false teachings and blashpemy then I don't know what to tell you.

Words of Jesse to fellow heretic Benny Hinn. I heard this interview myself.

It doens't sound like you are interested in attacking false doctrine unless it is connected with people who want to point out error and warn others.

Romans 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

If you can't see what is wrong with the TBN crowd making these outrageous statements and promises then I doubt if all the proof, scriptures and words in the world will change your mind.

Thanks,

Robert

This isn't a court of law. I am going to keep posting quotes and transcripts. It isn't important if you believe them or not.

Thanks,

Robert

Another minister in TBN's gallery of rogues and false teachers is Robert Schuller.

Robert Schuller believes that we should only use what he calls "positive methods" to reach the lost. The bible is not a positve or negative book in the sense Schuller means it. The bible is a book that preaches truth.

The following quote is taken from

http://www.rapidnet.com/~jbeard/bdm/expose...ler/general.htm

10/5/84 letter to Christianity Today, Schuller wrote, "I don't think anything has been done in the name of Christ and under the banner of Christianity that has proven more destructive to human personality and hence counterproductive to the evangelism enterprise than the often crude, uncouth, and unchristian strategy of attempting to make people aware of their lost and sinful condition" (cf. Romans 1:18-3:20).

Is this what Jesus and His apostles taught?

Matthew 9:10 And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.

Luke 5:8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

John 5:14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

Robert Schuller incorporates worldly philospophy into his teachings which are contrary to scripture.

Personal Sin?: "What do I mean by sin? Answer: Any human condition or act that robs God of glory by stripping one of his children of their right to divine dignity. I could offer another complementing answer: Sin is that deep lack of trust that separates me from God and leaves me with a sense of shame and unworthiness. I can offer still another answer: Sin is any act or thought that robs myself or another human being of his or her self-esteem" (Self-Esteem: The New Reformation, p. 14).

Contrast this with what Job said... "Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes."Job 42:6

Beware of those who preach philosophy instead of scripture.

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Beware of those who preach philosophy instead of scripture.

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

You should probably clarify this statement, like Paul did, to mean the "philosophies of men." The reason I say that is that, to teach scripture, or hold the idea that we should teach scripture, is in itself a philosophy. :whistling: The actual Greek word is comprised of two other Greek words, philos and sophos. philos refers to someone that is a close friend and sophos refers to wisdom/knowledge. In other words, to the Greeks, a philosopher was a "friend of knowledge."

The point in that clarification is that Schueller has obviously adopted the philosophies of this world. However, the best way to combat that is to study these philosophies and adopt the philosophy of Christ. Though christianity is much more than a philosophy, it certainly contains philosophical implications.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
