Most religions have BEHAVIORAL TRUTH that will help you lead a better life or create a better society. They have these principles in common with (and often derived from) Christianity.

Biblical, historical, orthodox Christianity is the only one with REDEMPTIVE TRUTH that leads to a right relationship with God and eternal life. There is only one God and He has revealed Himself to us through the Word of God (specific) and creation (general). He has finally spoken to us by becoming a man in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is proven by the historical fact of the resurrection, which is absent from other religions.

His claims are exclusive and absolute. You must be born again; unless you repent, you will perish; I am the only way, truth, and life; there is no other name given by which we must be saved; believe and you will not perish. (Jn. 3:16; Jn. 14:6; Acts 4:12; etc.)

Christianity is THE only redemptively valid religion because it is based on historical truth and spiritual reality. You can follow other religions and meditate for bliss, but will still die in your sins.

The other obvious issue is that the essential beliefs of religions are diametrically opposed (Jesus cannot be Creator God and uncreated angel or mere mortal at the same time) and mutually exclusive. There may be agreement on some non-essential lifestyle issues, but all paths cannot lead to God. He has revealed how we are to come to Him and took the initiative for us to return to relationship with Him. Religion is man's feeble attempt with ritual and works to appease God or discover Him.

There is solid evidence for Christianity to be the way to God, because it is trusting in God Himself through Jesus Christ. Buddha and Mohammed are dead. Jesus is alive. He died for me; I will live for Him.

Someone once put it to me like this. Confucious, Budda, and Mohammed are still in their graves. But Christ's tomb is empty. He is ressurected, they are not! What mere prophet or teacher has ever conquored death and the grave?

I would add to that - What mere prophet or teacher has ever claimed to be the Son of God, and had others confess this with their own mouths (Peter)?

Dear Dr. Luke,

I see the awesome Glory of God magnified in your post. He shines in you, even though I cannot see you, I do see the Lord in what you wrote.

In His Love,

Charles Stanley made a great point once. He was speaking of the notion that all roads lead to Heaven. He said that many Christians will say they believe in Jesus, but God won't deny Heaven to a Muslim or a Hindu who has lived a good life, but never accepted Christ. He said in response to that, that God would be awful cruel to do that. He would have allowed His only Son to be tortured and die all for nothing, since some other path would lead to Him. Then, if He were so cruel, can you really trust what He has said about Heaven? If He would let his only Son be tortured, disgraced and killed, all the while making other roads available for salvation, He was one of the cruelest monsters there were and He couldn't be trusted at all.

Religions tend to magnify the 'goodness' of man and minimize the holiness of God. That is why they think good works or endless reincarnation will eventually bridge the gap between sinner and God. His standard is perfection. We will always fall short of this. He alone provides the remedy acceptable to Him and His moral government. A relationship with God is the solution, rather than ritual and religion.

Religion is man's way of pleasing God apart from Christ.

Outwardly religion looks very good and pleasing. But inwardly religion is corrupt because of its source. Religion can never please God because only Christ please God. This touches very much on the matter of works being able to please God. We know that any outward work is not pleasing to God because works are apart from Christ. Only Christ is pleasing to God. Therefore, if you do not have Christ you cannot please God by your working of religion and all the practices, rituals, etc., involved therein.

The world religions all make absolute claims to be the way to God and all are contradictory, therefore, AT BEST, only one can be true.

:P Amen!

Unless Christ builds the Church, we labor in vain.

This is exactly what God has put on my heart lately. :P

hummmmmmmm..lets see..well,mohammad's grave is still occupied, the little fat guy budha is still in his grave..........the only one who kept HIS promise isthe only one for me...the LORD JESUS CHRIST.the proof that christianity is the one true religion..look at all the different denominations of christianity we have.you see all other's dont have all this confusion because the old devil already has them.why would he stir up trouble amongst his own?i believe that the reason for so many different denoms in christianity is because the devil is trying his best to keep GOD's people at each other all the time .we argue on whose dotrine is right or wrong.the devil keeps us all stirred up.so look at the big picture here....islam,no rivals...hindus,no rivals, budhist,no rivals......christians, rivals..THE DEVIL.

i just wanted to add my 2 cents worth :P

Truth is not relative. Every religion cannot be right, only one can. Many religions have bits of truth in them, but not the whole truth. I believe only Christianity holds that whole truth. -Passionate

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
