hey, i ate swine at a wedding party this weekend. does that make me a christian in good standing again? no, it means i loved the people there enough not to be offensive at a celebration. but i certainly didnt "pig out" on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing wrong you did in eating pork was defiling your own conscience and sinning by not eating in faith. If you feel you sinned, confess it and move on.

youre kidding me, right?

no one is willing to give up their worldly gains, not to save a few kids from death by asthma attack, not for any reason unless it effects them personally. then its too late and the herd - they are always deaf to your cries. been there, done that, too.

I am not saying there is no warming taking place. I am just saying it is the result of natural cycles. I have a copy of an old article speaking of a cooling world from the mid 70s. Today we are in a warming trend. 20 years from now, we may be cooling off again. God is in control of this, not man.

When it comes to exhaust, I don't know of anyone that thinks it is good and safe. There is just nothing we can do about it, except return to the horse and buggy days. It is just a reality of life today, and until an alternative to the internal combustion engine is found, there is no need to make it a political issue. The best environmentalists can do is throw out the idea of higher fuel taxes and better fuel economy. These are not solutions.

that sounds like a cop out. actually, it is the herd mentality. so long as those that die are kept to a certain level, the herd wont leave or change anything so that the lion can come along again and take another at will. it keeps you in green grass, until that day you get picked.

i have lived with nothing but a wood stove. i know what is required for survival. americans live like kings, even the homeless ones, compared to the rest of the world. no one is willing to give up their worldly gains, not to save a few kids from death by asthma attack, not for any reason unless it effects them personally. then its too late and the herd - they are always deaf to your cries. been there, done that, too.

What do you suggest we do? Are you saying we should go back to the horse and buggy days? Do you drive a car? I know you use the internet so you don't live like the Amish.

we are in a mess, arent we? the whole thing is unsustainable. i have children. what are we leaving them?

i spend most of my time at home. i am generally loathe to go anywhere. i have multiple chemical sensitivity and i can feel what those fumes are doing. my wife bough a flea collar for the puppy and within minutes my tongue and nose was numb from the organophosphates comming off of it. i looked at the package and it comes with an 800 number to call in case of emergencies, or, it said, call poison control. who in their right mind buys such a thing with that on the package? it got thrown out immediately. imagine what that puppy was experiencing and couldnt say a word!

I am absolutely serious.

well, thats too bad. by your definition i am defiling my conscience every time i eat anything but fruit. that is my goal - fruitarian. do you have a goal? do people make fun of you when they are aware of it and know you havent reached it yet? i am down to one cup of coffee per day, is that good or am i a failure there too?

i am fully aware of what i put in my body and what it does in there and exactly when it is out. i spend at least part of my day with nothing solid in my guts every day. i am that in tune with my body. i got this way because it was essential to my recovery. all of the health things i say, i have proved to myself through self experimentation. i take nobody's word for anything unless i have a lot of experience with them, then i still check it out to see how it works with me. everyone is a little different, another fallacy in the one size fits all medical system.

At the same time, what is the puppy going through with the fleas? I guess the only thing you can do is move to a remote area away from pollution if you feel that way. You mentioned living in Alaska. Why did you move away from there if you liked it so much?

he doesnt have fleas. we give him garlic and yeast pills. they sell them at walmart.

alaska is very bad. the military does what they want there, and dont tell a soul. then there is the mining industry and the extreme weather. suffice it to say, fairbanks is more polluted than los angeles. even the epa knows that.

But are you doing these things because you care about your health or by conviction? God never commands in his Word you can't drink coffee or eat meat. I am sipping on my 3rd cup of coffee right now, but I am not convicted about it.

It is hard to imagine anyplace more polluted than Los Angeles. I hate going there because of all the smog. It makes you choke looking at it.

Even if Fairbanks is polluted, Alaska is a huge state. Why not move to one of the remote areas? If that won't work for you, I drive coast to coast and have seen many areas of places like Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, etc. that have clean air and would make wonderful places to dwell for a health conscious person like yourself.

every place has its hazards. the lord called me to jump in the middle of the frying pan. thats where i went. i worship God, not my body. and as far as the wilderness of alaska is concerned, i did that when i was younger. i was too sick when i left ot do anything. i am just now able to put in a day of chores at home. i think i am in a pretty clean spot, but it has its drawbacks. awareness is half the battle.

Surely you mean this figuratively and not literally, right? :th_praying:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
