What if the Lord Jesus appeared to you would you then believe in God? Or would it take days and days of his presence and all your questions answered before you would give him a chance. What would it take??

candi

Quite seriously, that would be a good start. I think that you might underestimate nonbelievers. I am not predisposed to not believe in Christianity. I would accept any evidence as legitimate if it could be scientifically verified. If I didn't accept that type of empirical evidence, I would be wrong.

Sylvan3,

Thanks for responding (I hope your glad its Friday-I know I am)

I do not underestimate any human being. Human beings are intelligent and able to make up their own minds and God gives all the same chance to do so. Unfortunately those appearances of Jesus may not happen in the lives of some people and when the truth is finally revealed it is too late.

Well= blessings anyhow- Have a great weekend

Well, here's where it gets tricky. In the same sense that I am not predisposed to not believe Christianity, I am not predisposed to believe it either. Therefore, I would have to have very strong, visible evidence that a God existed that couldn't be attributed to some sort of hallucination or voice that I would hear in my head.

Therefore, to "ask" for God to appear would hint at a predisposition that I would think it was going to happen. I honestly don't think an omniscient, omnipotent deity would need asking. He would appear without asking and the appearance would be scientifically verifiable. Therefore, to answer your question, I have not asked for God to appear.

You mean that breaks the laws of science, the one's He created? The Creator isn't under the same rules of the createe :) .

Example: Man creates automobiles, man drives them, but the cars aren't drivin g men, Basic Creator/Createe Logic.

Here's another example: CellShade writes something that doesn't make sense and the writing makes CellShade lose credibility. Basic Creator/Createe logic :)

Err, might you have aswell quoted when I also said that I acknowledged that what I posted might sound a little confusing, and that to tell me if you didn't understand so I could give a more clearer example.

And what you responded rather seemed a lot more with lack of logic to your post.

If the moon is moving away from the earth, then billions of years ago it must "logically' have been a whole lot closer.

Well, yes, it was closer. Luna moves away from the Earth by 3.8 cms per year. Since Luna is 3.85

Lepaca,

Can i share with you something from the new testament that no one seems to have alluded to about Faith....???/

Let me ask you a question regarding the bible.....

Did the disciples Live by Faith.....?

No Lepaca they did NOT.....!!! They lived by SIGHT.....They walked with Jesus and spoke with Jesus and ate and drank with Jesus and touched Jesus and listened to him teach....WHY...????/ He had chosen THEM as the ones he would make known the truths of the kingdom of God...To the rest he would speak in parables..

The disciples were specifically chosen by Jesus himself to be the Teachers of his message....They did not live by faith because they SAW....Please note Jesus words to Thomas...

"You have SEEN me and believe, but blessed are those who have NOT seen me and believe." These are those who Live by faith Lepaca.

The disciples NEVER lived by faith, but all others who choose to believe WILL live by faith...

If you want to live by SIGHT lepaca, then be prepared to endure what the disciples did.

One wonders what would happen if Jesus DID reveal himself to you as he did to Saul on the road to Damascus......Would you like that to happen Lepaca..??

Are you prepared for that kind of life....?? A life of persecution and stoning and beatings...A life of never ending suffering for the sake of the gospel of Christ..?

Are you prepared for the greatest spiritual battle you will ever encounter....?? Or are you content to hide behind your knowlege and plausible hypotheses...??

Regards,

Ben.

No. You never answer anything I say and only change topic to end with a nice "turn or burn" nonsense. Either you answer to what I say or you get ignored.

"Who is this that darkens my counsel with words without knowledge...?? Stand like a man...I will question you and you shall answer me....! "

Are you prepared to answer to what God says Lepaca..??

Regards,

Ben.

You wrote God can do whatever he wants. It doesn't make sense. Your credibility flies away.

Err a bit off track there aren't you, you cannot calculate the distance that the "Luna" traveled

That was my point -_- Since he was spouting absurdities about science I asked him to show how he got that. He was obviously implying that science makes no sense but that's true only if he can show that science actually leads to that kind of absurdities. Since it doesn't, what he wrote is useless.

:emot-highfive::24::24: My credibility? I am just stating what The Bible says, Lepaca, I can't understand you, you many times say, " what if God was true, and He was Omnipotent" or something like that, so that's what I am stating, God is Omnipotent, can do whatever He wants, here let's give you the definition of Omnipotent.

Omnipotent: Having unlimited or universal power, authority, or force; all-powerful.

The Bible says and God is Omnipotent, so how is it possible I am loosing credibility? I am saying what The Bible says, and last time I checked, you do know that I believe in what The Bible says :) .

That was my point -_- Since he was spouting absurdities about science I asked him to show how he got that. He was obviously implying that science makes no sense but that's true only if he can show that science actually leads to that kind of absurdities. Since it doesn't, what he wrote is useless.

WHat He wrote was a joke, He stated so, besides, what I say, is basically again, if you believe what you believe, then you do have to admit that there would be a chance of The earth been sticked to the "Luna", it's a chance if you believe your theory, which would then agree that the force and all of the earth plus all others factors could have killed dinosours, and not your meteorite. Again no point here, just stating how contradicting your believings may be :)

Blessings.

What have you got to lose? Maybe He will appear in a scientifically verifiable way. All your questions would be answered. It'd be a lot easier than spamming on here all the time. -_- I ask for things from people all the time I don't know if I'm going to get. The worst you could get is thinking you just talked to yourself. :24: I'm praying for you, sweetie. :emot-highfive:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
