As a new christian I find myself wanting to spread the news about Jesus to other people. With the new school year coming up I figured that would be a good place to get started. Can anyone offer any tips as to how to do this effectively and also how to do it without offending anyone or coming off as a pushy fanatic?

Just be friends with people and let them see how you live. Ask God to place people in your path with whom you can share the Gospel, and believe me, He will! It'll come naturally when God's the one orchestrating it.

Let the Holy Spirit guide you, He will lead you to someone who He wants you to speak to, they will be prepared to hear the truth. It will be a natural thing. When He leads you-to one and you are faithfull to witness=He will lead you to more (as your faithful and obedient). Then your hooked=it is so much fun. But I go through seasons, that I would love to share and I feel the Holy Spirit say not now. Then other times, I feel the prompting to tell others.

But your life, lived in front of others is also a witness of our Lord Jesus Christ. Each and every morning (or night) make sure to get fueled up on Jesus: in His word and in Prayer; then you are prepared to face the day. Then you can continue quite naturally to walk in the Spirit the remainder of the day. You can meditate on Him through out the day, and praying continually throughout the day. People are watching. If we fall, we get back up=because we have Jesus; so we don't have to be perfect. Our righteousness is in Christ.

Blessings,

Have Fun with Jesus

I prefer lifestyle evangelism. This way people know you are real and they know that you are not pretending to be holier than thou, they see the whole person. They also see you grow over time.

When you talk, be natural, don't preach just bring it up in natural conversation when it fits or if a question is asked about why you do or don't do a given thing.

There is also a good ministry which deals with the more intellectual "methods" for when you actually get a willing sparring partner willing to debate with you. The method is called Presuppositionalism. The best book I ever read about it was by a man named Bahnsen called "Always Ready" The theory behind it is rather cerebral, but you should understand it when you read this book, as Bahnsen is very readable. The father of the method is not.

Alot of people don't like it because it breaks to the heart of the matter, that all reasoning is circular ultimately and that mankind's mind is a logical fallacy without God. But in the end, if you think about it, it's the truth.

If God could do that, why not do that in the first place? And wouldn't he have some better things to do?

Ask for a cup of water, like Jesus did with the woman at the well.....In other words, just be yourself and don't be disingenuous with an unbeliever; don't try to convert them just for the sake of putting a notch in your Bible. We have something the world wants, they just don't know it yet. Pray that the Lord will prepare the heart of the people you come into contact with to receive the Gospel. And remember, let the Lord do the work.

first thing a person needs to do prior to evangelism, is to PRAY

the second thing to do prior to evangelism, is PRAY

and also a person needs to be in the Word of God each and every day, and PRAY

and then witness to everyone you cross paths with, and some you may even have to talk to.

the best evangelism, is that which speaks very few words... the best witness is that where people want what you have, not what you say you have. if a person has the peace, joy, and love of Christ, others will want that, but if there is no difference in a persons walk then with one that is a non-Christian, others do not see the need to want Christ.

the fruit of our labor is the best witness, a persons walk (speach, mannerism, habits, actions ... ) are the most valuable witness tool there is... then, when a person sees you walking in the light, with out companionship with the dark, they will be more drawn to you for you to use words...

pray continuously.... stay in the Word of God....

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
