KEVIN--MY BROTHER-----WHAT a GREAT TEACHING in OBADIAH---EVERYONE on worthy should READ

that-----IT should give ALL of us a time to "REflect" to "think??" maybe make a few"ad-JUST-ments"

in our lives--thinking---motivation----ya think???????

i really liked the "gloating" over anothers mis-fortune--troubles--it reminded me of a "LESSON" GOD

taught me when I was about19--20--???or so-----BEFORE JESUS-YESHUA-saved US-----A lesson I

learned & haveNOT forgotten{I have forgotten a lot of things lately BUT NOT THIS LESSON--

principle}---my brother-in-law & I were on our way to Dallas{for some reason --I forget what}

I was driving an old 50 model ford {i liked fords at the time--i had 5 of them all 50 models--over a

several year span}--any how i was driving kind-a- fast --bout 70mph--when i saw a guy changing

a flat-tire on the other side of the road--I laughed out loud & made some kind of "smart-alek"

remark & immediately {I MEAN RIGHT-NOW!!}in the middle of my "smart-alek"remark & laugh the

car became sort of hard to steer & weaving a bit---SO i stopped & SHURE-ENOUGH----I HAD A FLAT

TIRE --opened the trunk --had a spare BUT NO JACK----"oooopppPPppSSssss" so --{what to do OH

lordy what ta do??} WELL up drives this "highway patrolman" I asked if he had a jack I could use

which he politely loaned me & told him thank you very much I noticed the car was "bouncing"

coming down the hill a little-bit & he said"yeah I noticed you "bouncing" down the hill too--how fast

were you going---I told him "about 70mph"---HE told me to slow down some & we went merrilly on

our way----"LESSON??" DON'T GLOAT OVER SOMEONE'S MIS-FORTUNE--PROBLEM--TRAGEDY------

Ray Steadman is an excellent teacher. One of my very favorites. You can read and listen to his teaching on every text in the bible at Blue Letter Bible.

Get to know this guy.

I fear that this statement taken from the article describes what many Americans feel toward the people of Iraq.

In our pride and unconcern we don't care what happens to someone else, as long as everything is all right with us.

I haven't seen too many of his books. I have a book he wrote on Ephesians I bought at a Christian bookstore, that is good which I can't find right now. I also have a book on Roman's I bought off Ebay.

The web site you got this article from would have any that are available.

Most of the articles and the commentary on Ephesians are almost word for word from the audio messages at Blue Letter Bible. This series he did Adventures through the Bible are there in audio . Ecclesiastes was very interesting.

Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing , and hearing by the word of God.

Thanks,

That blue letter bible site is and awesome site, it is one of the first I ran across when I got on the computer a year ago.

I was searching Oswald Chambers and it led me to his devotionals, a year later and dumb as I ever was on the computer, God still leads me to some awesome Christian web sites.

I have read a few others on the Ray Steadman sight, they have a variety of sermons on audio as well as written, of different speakers, on the home page that I cant wait to explore.

God bless

Kevin

Glory to G-d Saints,

My pastor just taught on this last Sunday.

Check it out.

The blessing or the curse. Its your choice. It's your choice.

He preached on Malachi 1

Mal 1:2

I have loved you, says the LORD. Yet you say, How have you loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? says the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,

Mal 1:3

And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the jackals of the wilderness.

Mal 1:4

If Edom says, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus says the LORD of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the LORD has indignation forever.

Mal 1:5

And your eyes shall see, and you shall say, The LORD will be magnified beyond the border of Israel.

Why did he hate Esau? Poor hairy deer hunting guy . Just trying to make his way? What gives?

Simply because of this;

Ge 25:30

And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray you, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.

Ge 25:31

And Jacob said, Sell me this day your birthright.

Ge 25:32

And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point of death: and what profit shall this birthright be to me?

That pottage of red stew was more important than Jesus!

Check out this Thread; Relevant to the above.

What was Esau doing prior to this and after ? Squandering his inheritence from the Father.

Look here;Ge 26:34

Brother Luke,

That is some totally awesome stuff, man God has really been pouring out the teachings.

God is so wonderful, I understand why David and the rest encourage us to meditate on His word, His word is so deep and His wisdom so great, we have to "chew the cud" to just get a small piece of what God is saying to the church.

I love Gods word, you can never really say you have read it, I mean you can read it a hundred times and it is still so full of treasures and mysteries.

Thanks for sharing that.

In Jesus

Kevin

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
