NO PARROTING THE SINNERS PRAYER WILLNOT SAVE ONE SINGLE SOUL....... JESUS CHIRST IS THE ONLY SAVIOUR

However..... if a person truly means it and does not know how to pray AND WISHES TO be saved right than.... Well , lead them in a prayer.

if they mean it they are saved........ am i right. or worng.

if only they mean it..

A person can say alot of things but the LORD GOD knows their heart....

and u tell the young muslim that the LORD SAVED HE WAS NOT SAVED AND HE WILL SAY U ARE WRONG

we cannot say that the sinners prayer is the only way to get saved but it is one way am i right

I DO BELIEVE SO . EVEN THOUGH I AM WRONG ON MAN POINTS

This one thing i know when a person life changes because of the sinners prayer that he said it meaning it ....

MAY THE LOR BLESS YOU ALL

Our Lord Jesus made it so simple in His sermon" Repent ye and Believe the Gospel"

mark 1;15

and i explain both and i do give the sinners prayer in case someone really doesnt feel like they know what to say and i also give it to make sure they are beleiving what i have preached....>>>the gospel<<<

they are literally saying it thru the sinners prayer and they have full understanding of what the gospel is..

thru the sinners prayer you know they are hearing it once again that they are a sinner and they need to ask forgiveness and that they have placed their faith in the one true living God and saviour, Jesus Christ.

i want that lost person to know exactly what God's word says, i want NO ROOM FOR DOUBT THAT THE DEVIL CAN CONFUSE THAT PERSON.

And since my calling to evangelize NEVER ONCE did the LORD tell me NOT TO LEAD A LOST PERSONN IN THE SINNERS PRAYER.. I ALWAYS OFFER.

God's word says if your heart doesnt condemn you then it is ok...if your heart condemns you then you know it is wrong.

you know the lord even taught us to ask for forgiveness in the lord's prayer...

but u see EVERYONE DOESNT READ THE BIBLE....EVERYONE DOEST KNOW WHAT THE LORD TEACHES US IN HIS WORD.

YOU KNOW THE DEVIL IS ALWAYS TRYING TO SOW DISCORD SOMEWHERE AMONG THE BRETHREN AND CONFUSION .

PLEASEEEEEEEEE IT IS BIBLICAL TO TEACH SOMEONE HOW TO PRAY.

JESUS EVEN SHOWED US HOW TO PRAY. HE TAUGHT US.

ARE WE NOT TO TEACH THOSE WHO DONT KNOW?

Mat 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Luk 11:2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth

SOME OF US NEED TO GET A GRIP HERE AND STOP KNIT PICKING EVERYTHING TO DEATH AND GET IN THE WILL OF GOD HERE.

Exd 4:12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.

UNTIL THE SHOUT THAT WILL TAKE US OUT, Evang. dare

Hi Brothers and Sisters,

Have you noticed the quality of the threads these last few days? Full of peace and harmony and sharing, only God can do this.

Let us welcome God back to the Worthy Boards!

This has been a very beautiful thread, and man can I relate to suzanne's thread! Repentance is the key and even this is totally brought about by Gods grace and by His mercy to the sinner.

I led a good friend of mine to the Lord with the "sinners" prayer, but it was God who opened his eyes and he asked me how do I get saved? which at that time it is what I felt led to do.

The story is kind of funny and I'll share a little of it.

I was a fairly new christian and we were at a bar and he noticed that I was not chasing the women or drinking like I used to (I admit I had a couple tho, and both of these were in foolishness of youth around 28 years ago.) well any way we got to talken and soon neither one of us were drinking and decided to leave.

well he gave me a ride since we rode together and at this time I was staying at my parents house for a few days, so we are in my parents house in the driveway and picked up on our conversation and to shorten the story

He had aske dme how to get saved, I asked him do you believe in Jesus as God and that He died for you and rose from the dead? to which he said yes,

well any way I had never led anyone in prayer before and was probably as nervous as he was, and I said the devil is going to try and stop this are you ready, we started praying and lo and behold this bright light was all around us in the car, I thought the Lord was there, but it ends up it was a cop :P (seems my brother didnt reconize the car and thought someting wrong was happenning)

The cop walks up to the door and ask whats going on and I said I was leading my friend to the Lord Jesus Christ (can you picture this :t2: ) well he kinda took a few steps back, and when he caughjt his breath asked for Id's and found out it was my parents house.

Well after he left we continued the prayer and my friend and I had such great and inexpressable joy, its indescribable, when I went inside it felt like I was walking on clouds, I could sense the angels rejoycing at the sinner who repented.

So anyway, as you can see I am not against the sinners prayer, but the sinner as Suzanne pointed out must have a repentant heart, and God will let you know in your heart when this is so.

last I saw him he was walking mightely with the Lord and I hope to see him again, but havent in 10 years or so .

God bless

Kevin

LORD REMEMBER ME WHEN THOU COMEST INTO THY KINGDOM------LUKE.23.vs.42-------

IS THIS A SINNERS PRAYER?????DID the thief "mean" what he said???? was there REpentance???

Good Morning Gary,

You bet he meant what he said. Look at ALL OF WHAT HE SAID.

Luke 23:40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. 42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

There was his repentance, he recognized that he should receive punishment for "his deeds" that is the essence of repentance for us as well, that we have come to a point of realizing that the wages of sin is death. That was where he admitted his sin, and recognized that he was a sinner and needed Christ. He acknowledged his deeds were sinful, yet the other NEVER did. The other thief hurled insults at Christ. I heard MUCH repentance in what that the first thief said and confessed to Christ.

In His Love,

Suzanne

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
