Read this and tell me the names of the creatures described.

Job 40

15 Now behold behemoth, which I made along with you; he eats grass like an ox;

16 see, now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the muscles of his belly.

17 He hangs his tail like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are knit together.

18 His bones are like tubes of bronze; his bones are like bars of iron.

19 He is the first of the ways of God; his Maker brings near his sword.

20 For the mountains yield food for him, and all the beasts of the field play there.

21 He lies under the lotus, in the hiding place of the reed and the marsh.

22 The lotus trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook surround him.

23 Behold, though a flood presses, he does not run away; he feels safe even if Jordan swells up to his mouth.

24 Shall any take him before his eyes, or pierce through his nose with cords?

Job 41

1 Can you draw out the leviathan with a hook, or hold down his tongue with a cord?

2 Can you put a reed rope into his nose, or pierce his jaw with a thorn?

3 Will he multiply pleas for help to you? Will he speak soft words to you?

4 Will he make a covenant with you? Will you take him for a servant for ever?

5 Will you play with him as with a bird? Or will you bind him for your maidens?

6 Shall your companions bargain over him? Shall they divide him among the merchants?

7 Can you fill his skin with barbed irons, or his head with fishing spears?

8 Lay your hand on him, think of the battle; you will never do it again.

9 Behold, his hope has been made false; will not one be cast down at the sight of him?

10 None is so fierce as to dare to stir him up; who then is able to stand before Me?

11 Who has gone before Me that I should repay? All that is the heavens is Mine.

12 I will not keep silent concerning his limbs, or his mighty strength, or the grace of his frame.

13 Who can take off the surface of his skin; who can come to him with his double bridle?

14 Who can open the doors to his face? Terror is round about his teeth.

15 The rows of shields are his pride, shut up with a close seal;

16 one is so near to another that no air can come between them;

17 they are joined one to another, they clasp each other so that they can not be separated.

18 His sneezings flash forth light, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the dawn.

19 Out of his mouth go burning torches, sparks of fire leap out.

20 Out of his nostrils goes smoke, as out of a boiling pot fired by reeds.

21 His breath kindles coals, and a flame goes out of his mouth.

22 In his neck remains strength, and terror dances before him.

23 The folds of his flesh are joined together, cast firm on him; he cannot be moved.

24 His heart is cast hard as a stone, even cast hard as a piece of a riding millstone.

25 The mighty are afraid from his rising; they are beside themselves from the crashing.

26 The sword overtakes him, but will not hold firm. The spear, the dart, and the javelin also .

27 He counts iron as straw, bronze as rotten wood.

28 An arrow cannot make him flee; slingstones are turned by him into stubble.

29 Darts are counted as straw; he laughs at the shaking of a javelin.

30 Points of potsherds are under him; he spreads sharp pointed marks on the mire.

31 He makes the deep boil like a pot; he makes the sea like a pot of ointment.

32 He makes a path to shine after him; one would think the deep to be gray-headed.

33 On earth there is nothing like him, one made without fear.

34 He beholds all high things ; he is a king over all the sons of pride.

Ayin Jade, those are the verses I had in mind posting this. Thats my reasoning that dinosaurs must have existed, I believe the bible there is talking about dinosaurs.

However, I was looking for the science behind that. I believe that science and the bible DO match up, the scientists just don't know that yet :)

Anyways, I've watched some seminars by a guy named Kent Hovind, and I think he's on the right track. His theory was that dinosaurs died out after the flood because the air was less dense. He thought that the flood water (or some of it) came from a sphere of ice around the earth, and after that sphere was gone, the air spread out and the dinosaurs suffocated....

That the earth is several billions years old and they existed prior to man. :)

I'm no theistic evolutionist, but I am certainly an old earth creationist.

Hmm, question for you then AK.

I've been told that the Sahara Desert as well as the Great Barrier Reef have been shown to both be a bit over 6000 years old (by measuring the speed at which they expand). So when do you believe the flood occured? I'm thinking those facts point to about 6000 years ago.

Also, if you're not a theistic evolutionist... why do you think the earth is billions of years old? Most people who believe that also seem to believe humans evolved from monkey (except they say that it was God that caused it)... and can I assume that you believe the biblical days to be "long periods of time" rather than a modern day?

Question back at you, Keilan. :emot-heartbeat:

The Shenandoah Mts. (eastern side of Appalachians in Virginia, USA) do not have marine fossils in them.

If marine fossils in mountians were the result of the flood, why are there no marine fossils in these?

I have absolutely no idea, if there was no flood, how come there are marine floods in other mountains? I really don't know, perhaps something was different in those mountains, different climate or something, I'm not sure. There must have been a flood, if there hadn't been, the coral reef would be much much bigger (why only 6000 years growth?). I don't know all the answers, thats why I posted this :emot-heartbeat:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
