Who Crucified Jesus?

To all new contributors to this thread. I would entreat you to first read the portion by Watchman Nee at the beginning of this thread. It seems that many comments were made in response to others without having first considering the initial post.

If you have a problem with what Watchman Nee taught here, what is it?

Scripture Reading: Isaiah 53:3; Acts 3:13-16; Matthew 27:39-52 Luke 22:42

In Acts 8 we are told that Philip the Evangelist pointed out to the eunuch that Isaiah 53:7-8, as quoted in Acts 8:32-33

I have to admit I never read any of Nee's commentary. I usually skip over long posts, especially if they appear to be technical. I've read it now! Actually, it seems like a pretty good commentary. The only thing I'm not too sure about is this:

Hence Jesus was crucified by God as well as men.

God allowed Him to be crucified yes, but God didn't do the actual crucifixion. He simply foreknew what would happen, but it was men who made the choice and did the deed.

Thanks Adstar Im going to give it a try! We used to have a forum, I think it was on Hal Lindsey's old site that allowed a person to test different things out, without wrecking a thread!??

A person could practice pasting or doing other things(Notice I didn't go to that forum much! ).

Christ allowed man to crucify Him. No man can take that respnsibility to himself, he is only a pawn in satans court.

Someone laying down their life for you of their own free will is not the same thing at all as deliberately planning to have someone killed.
