"But, Christ through His Church, that He did establish, will. "

................................................................................

.....................................

Yes , His church! James the Just was the first bishop of the first

christian church, of whom, Jesus is the Rock!

the rcc claims Peter was the rock, that is not right, amen.

Jesus was pointing at Himself, when He spoke to Peter

and said , on this Rock I will build my Church.

the bible has been tampered with down thru the ages

mostly by the rcc, taking out and hiding books that were not to

their advantage, sad but true.

"Then, we are not fullfilling our duty as a christian if we are not to point out to one another misjudgements or error - MOST ESPECIALLY when eternal salvation of the soul is at stake. It would be gross negligence to not admonish one another on error; this goes for both sides, whether you are admonishing Catholics because you believe your faith to be good and true and right or whether it is the Catholic who is admonishing the non-Catholic for the same reasons. Don't be too sure that it is "going nowhere" either because the Holy Spirit is the one who can work through all things."

as was stated, we are getting no where, that means spinning wheels in the mud, doing nothing more then making a huge mess of things, tires spinning, in mud only make a bigger hole and a messier vehicle that takes alot more to clean up, not to mention the repair work that will be required to drive it again, and reconstruction of the ground that the wheels were spinning on.....

we are also told that we are not to argue about the Word of God..... that is found in the Word of God....

I have to say I too am guilty of it, and dont want to do it, it is not right..... it is not being obedient to the Lord....

pointing out your opinion ( catholic or protestant ) to one that you feel is in the wrong, that is fine, holding a hammer over their head and pounding it into their thick skulls is not......

even Jesus did not argue the point, He made His point, and left it at that...... had plenty of times that he could have nailed the pharasees to the perverbial cross, but did not......

did Jesus get angry? yes, absolutly.... did Jesus sin in His anger? NO! ....

did Jesus belittle anyone when he admonished them??? No, He made His point and stopped.... done, thats it... over.... moved on.....

as such, I am moving on....

good day.

Do you know that the book of Colossians is a little thought about treasure of truth? At least for me. I have been reading this week in that book and have been blessed beyond measure!

But the biggest thing that knocked my spiritual socks off was this little bit found in chapter 2.

And I quote:

2 My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. 4 I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine-sounding arguments.

Wonderful!! So in Christ is all the wisdom and understanding of the mystery of God hidden! Hand to find that wisdom out...who to go to? Man? Religion? Christ?

But it gets better my brothers and sisters! Read on with me. Same chapter;

8 See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.

Can I say that my eyes shot open and I had to read this part three times before it started sinking in?

What is said next?

9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority. 11 In him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of the sinful nature, not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with the circumcision done by Christ, 12 having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.

"GLORY BE!!" "PRAISE GOD!! WHAT A WONDERFUL WORK HE HAS DONE!"

Let's continue!!!!

13 When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14 having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. 15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

Are we hearing this? Are we getting this?!?

16 Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. 17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.

Oh my God and King!! Show me this REALITY!!! Bless your servant and allow Your grace to rain down with TRUTH!! Oh that I shall dwell in reality for ever and ever!! AMEN!

The kicker?

18 Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions. 19 He has lost connection with the Head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.

Let no man ever say our beloved brother Paul was afraid to step on toes!!

I love each and every one of you!

good day.

He never answered a fool according to His folly, yes....

That is why I had to drop out for a few days to cool off. I thought that only an Eagles or 49ers fan could get me that riled up!

And AMEN sags4Christ...even if you do hate the Cowboys. (grrrr)

My job is only to help undo all of the anti-Catholic bias and misconception on what we actually believe and not what is perceived we believed.

Then you are failing miserably.....

There was no anti-catholic bias here....no hard feelings either way until "someone" came in and started saying that anyone who isn't Catholic is lost until they come home to THE Mother of all churches.

Until you see that THE church is not confined to a building, denomination, or institution I have to wonder if you are even part of it....?

Can you tell us when you were born again?

Jesus told us that anything we ask in His name will be done to glorify His father. I don't use the Lords prayer word for word but I use it for what Jesus ment it to be...........A model.

Anyone ever care to comment on that post back on page 13? I feel like it got ignored big time!

While I agree that it was given as a model, I doubt you are going to find anyone who will speak against reciting it.

My wife and daughter do this one every morning. Sometimes I even join them.......

It pretty much sums up everything we should be praying about in a neat little package so why not? It is always a great place to start.

Our Father who art in Heaven......................we are to address God as our Father (and no one but God) and gloify him alone in heaven

Hallowed be thy name................Give praise to God before you ask for anything. God demands our praise.

Thy kindgdom come..........................we are to look to the coming of Christ and Gods kingdom

Thy Will be done...........................we are always to pray within the will of God.

On earth as it is in heaven............................What is bound on earth will be bound in heaven and what is loosed on earth will be loosed in heaven

Give us this day our daily bread...........................ask for your personal needs.

And forgive us our trespasses..................Ask for the forgiveness of your sins (note you can ask God for this)

As we forgive those who trespass against us....................forgive those who have sinned against you.

And lead us not into temptation..................something God cannot do anyway...........ask proctection from satan leading you into temptation name the temptations you have trouble with.

But deliver us from evil...................Ask God to protect you from satan and all of his devices.

For thine is the power and the glory forever.......................end with praising and worshiping God

Amen!

Here is the study I typed out............... any comments? Jesus told us to pray to God.

I like that study godslove--I think it's an accurate interpretation of what is meant.

And...I'm not quite sure if i'm going to be opening a whole new can of worms here--but...what exactly is the point in reciting prayers? I've always thought of that as a rather shallow and pointless thing to do. Well..maybe not exactly pointless--but it seems to me, that if our relationship with Jesus is personal (which it dang sure is), then we should be sincere and personal when we talk to Him. I don't know if it's maybe my upbringing that has helped me come to that conclusion--but even in my church, and at conferences and things--people don't have their prayers written out for them. They talk from their hearts--sincerely saying what God brings to their minds. When I was little and even now, my mom would always have us pray before bedtime--and it was never anything recited, or memorized. She would just have us thank God for the day, and maybe one or two things that had happened during the day. It wasn't "now i lay me down to sleep" or any stuff like that.

I guess what i'm trying to say--is that if people are going to use recited prayers--they should make the best effort possible to be sincere--and if they can't be sincere with those recitations, then they should use their own. There's nothing worse than an insincere prayer--and you can be sure that God knows its sincerity

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
