Man, I hear you and I believe that you are pushing against a wall that you don't really need to push. From what I know about Sue, her eyes are wide open to the world.

I am in agreement that we will not see a great revival movement as we did in the pentacost however, it really is okay to be hopeful.

Hope is good.

Yes, it is!!

Rom 4:18: "Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so..."

Rom 8:24-25: "For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

II Co. 4:18: "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

I like these verses on hope, because they show that hope is the expectation of what looks completely impossible by our human eyes. Hope looks patiently and expectantly for what we can not see. When it looks utterly hopeless, that is when God shows his power and his glory.

Judgement of God is coming to the WORLD, not just America.

Its not coming in the age of grace. It will come, but not in this dispensation.

According to Paul, judgement will occur first in the church..was Paul wrong?

Exactly what is meant by "Its not coming in the age of grace. It will come, but not in this dispensation."?

which dispensation will it be?

 I agree wholeheartedly with the first post/subject of this thread. There may be other countries at fault for serious rebellion against God, but isn't America the only country that claims to be a Christian nation and at the same time it is responsible for many rebellious acts that should fly in the face of God? I think for America's pride, as has been mentioned, America will fall hard. I think there are signs of it now. And if it's not God's judgment befalling America, then America is destorying itself. Just my opinion, dont mean to be offensive to anyone though. :):b: Edited by heartofstone

I agree with you very much in what your reply has stated. Isn't America like sodom an Gorrah/ They where ahead of their time in technology, lose living of all types, worshiping other god's the than the God of the Almighty, He is a jealous God. Who are we serving today here in this country? SELF. We have put or selves as gods where we don't need Him for anything because of our: Pride an Money. So His Judgment is coming to this country if we don't REPENT of our SIN'S. By seeking His face in PRAYER.

heart, I don't think there is a country in the world that can lay claim to being a christian nation. during OT times america was only another blob on the world map, inhabited by heathen indians and the supposedly christian fathers robbed them, killed most of them and what was left of them were driven off their land. Very christian of them.

just me, thinking on paper.

I especially like that you describe our problems here as serving of the self, Revolutionist, if I understood it correctly, as well as the rest of your post. :th_frusty:

Eric, forgive me, but I'm not exactly sure that I understand your post: because I'm not sure if it's been interpreted that I meant that I do believe America was once a Christian nation. But I do understand the reference to the days of the conquest here, especially in Latin America when the Church either facilitated the decimation of idigenous peoples, or simply stood by and didn't help them (does that mean that you support the notion that America isn't a Christian nation? sorry that I keep on with this).

I used the Christian nation reference for America 'cause I'm sure I heard that somewhere, maybe not exactly in those words but at least with the way the media talks about religious influence in government (I think it was about our president this time), it seems that they've got it wrong. Some in our government may be Christians, but our population in its entirety doesn't live like I'd imagine a nation that follows God really should live (not just the taking of "under God" out of the pledge and that sort, but a lot of the decay in morality, etc). I'm sorry, I feel this is kind of a strange rant of mine anyway but whenever I hear that some think of America as a Christian nation, I think the term/prhase isn't applied correctly. If we really were that then we'd be perfect or much closer to it; I mean, Christianity isn't even the state religion, not everyone follows it, etc.

Judgment Of God Is Coming To This Country

Yes, I think God is going to judge America severely. We are reaping a whirlwind right now, reaping what has been sown over the last 50 years:

America tolerates the killing of our unborn babies and calles it freedom of choice.

America tolerates homosexual perversion and calls it diversity and alternative lifestyles.

America tolerates paganism and immoral lifestyles and calls it multiculturalism.

America tolerates the killing of the elderly and and the terminally ill among us and calls it compassion.

America, founded upon Biblical principles, tolerates religious cults that deny God, throws out the Ten Commandments, the taking out of the name of His one and only Son Jesus Christ from the public forum, the removal of prayer from our public schools where crime is now running rampant, and calls it freedom of religion.

America tolerates poronography and exploitation of women and children and calls it art.

America tolerates vile and filthy brain washing of our children and calls it music or movies.

America tolerates God's holy name being blasphemed and calls it freedom of speech.

America tolerates the taking of innocent life, crime running rampant in our streets and calls it our legal system, giving the criminal more rights than the victims.

America tolerates everything except the name of Jesus Christ.

America's present President is the first President in America's history to push for, endorse a terrorist state inside of His covenant land of Israel, and divide up the Holy Land of Israel. For this we will be judged severely.

America's present President, who claims to be a Christian, calls Islam a religion of peace, deceiving the masses, but has never spoken the name of the Prince of Peace in any of his public messages.

If anyone else wants to add to the list, feel free to do so.

All Presidents of this country are Masonic Free Masons. They are apart of the New World Order. This is a whole different subject for a thread topic.:th_praying:

Don't forget the trilateral commission and the council on foreign relations and of course the Jewish bankers.

You know maybe this country will come under some sort of judgment (although that is NOT biblical), maybe it won't but this conspiracy stuff is just so nutty.

I think we should stick with scripture. Our country does many sinful things, we as a people are pretty sinful, but we also have great honest and brave people here. It is not some sort of open and shut case, and there is no scriptural basis to say that there is anything about the US being judged. All nations will be judged, all individuals will be judged. Nations rise and nations fall and those things often have nothing to do with how sinful they are or not.

The wonderful thing about this country is that right now Christians have more freedom here than in most other countries. So we are allowed great freedom to evangelize, to live as we see fit, to own private property, to form our own Christian communities if we so desire. From a Christian perspective I am not sure I would want to live somewhere else. I mean in France it is against the law to wear crosses to school or to spread the Gospel in many cases.

There has been a whole bunch written on this thread, but not much scriptural support for any of it.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
