HELLO ! my name is mike and i am by NO MEANS QUESTIONING CHRIST i just have a few questions

1. ok heres the big stumper a freind told me once . : ok can god do anything ? of corse right , well if he can do anything can he make a rock he cant lift ? if he cant make it he cant do everything if he cant lift it he cant so it is close to impossibal for our god to be perfect.

2. Why do you belive in jesus ? because the bibal says so ! right ? why do you belive the bibal.... because the bibal says so. thats the best respons i could come up with

3. well i dont really see whats so wrong with homosexuallity, im perefecly streight but the only place that it says homosexuallity is wrong is also in the place where it says we shouldnt eat shrimp , women shouldnt have power and also we shoudlnt were mixed clothing (eg. linen and cotten) those things are outdated. so why shoudlnt homophobicy be ?

4. the verus in the bibal where it says we will go to heven it never sepcifies that you have to belive in christ and god he says he exepts all. so i belive their is no hell . earth is hell .... and bush is saiten right ? ook ill shut up now...

Its a bit like saying...'If G-d can do anything, why can't He sin?' It is philosophical nonsense that will give you a headache and nothing more. There is little point in trying to catch G-d out and prove Him a liar...far better to understand why He bothers with any of us in the first place.

Actually although the Bible may have been instrumental in making a decision for the L-rd...it is personal conviction and the indwelling of the Holy Ghost that confirms and convinces us that G-d IS.

I don't really think you believe this...but it is true that G-d loves all of us...but it is also true that He provided a Saviour through the Messiah Jesus...what would have been the point in Jesus dying for you and me on the cross if we were all given access to eternal glory...think about it?

ANSWER: By definition God can do things we can neither do, nor understand. Yes, God can make a rock so big it can't be lifted, then He can lift it, and it will still be too big to be lifted!

ANSWER: I knew nothing of the Bible until I came to faith in Christ. I had heard Christ preached clearly for two years, but suddenly one night, it was as if the words I had been hearing 'sparked' as it were, in my inner man, and I UNDERSTOOD for the first time! So I believed on Christ because the Holy Ghost opened my eyes one night, not because of the Bible. And I believe the Bible, because once I had given my life to Christ, the Bible also began to make sense to me, and to speak to me on a level deeper than the understanding of my mind.

ANSWER:Actually there are many, many places where the Bible says homosexuality is wrong. Not just under the Law of YHWH, in the Torah, but also in the New Testament in Romans chapter 1, and numerous other places. Take your Strong's Concordance and look under 'sodomite' 'abusers of themselves with mankind' and 'effeminate.' You will find homosexuality is regarded as a serious sin throughout the Word of God.

ANSWER: Then what did Jesus mean when He said: "No man comes to the Father but by me...."? God does not say 'He accepts all....' as a blanket statement. The Scripture is clear He accepts ONLY those who come to Him in repentence, and in remorse for their sins. The book of Proverbs tells us 'God scorns the proud, but gives place to the lowly and humble of spirit,' for instance. So clearly there are persons God will reject.

Yes. I do believe in Jesus because of the Bible. I also believe in Jesus because of the things I've seen in my life, and the lives of others....

Actually, the Bible tells us in a number of places about the sin of homosexuality. You know about Sodom and Gomorrha right? Well, even in the New Testament, we are reminded about the sins of these people.

Jude 1:7 - "Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire."

The question is designed such that any answer given results in the answerer having to conclude that God is not omniscient.

If God could create a rock that He could not lift then God is not all-powerful. If He could not create a rock that He could not lift than His powers are limited, and hence He could not be God.

Ask this: Can man create a rock that he cannot lift? The answer is no. Now, you may say, "But man can create an entire mountain of rock in a year's time that he could not possibly lift." That's true. But man can in fact remove that mountain by the same means which he created it - shovel by shovel, or truckload by truckload.

There's simply no answer to this question. It's designed by the folly of man's limited and irrational mind. Therefore, it's simply best not to bother with the sort of people who would ask such silly questions.

I believe in Jesus because He lives in me. He's freed me from the bondage of death and sin, and made me a son of the most High God. How do I know that I am a son of God? Because of the life which I now live in Christ and because of the Bible's confirmation of this fact.

Well, first of all, the Bible mentions the sin of homosexuality in both the Old Testament and the New Testament. So the argument about shrimp and mixed linens doesn't hold any water.

Secondly - and this is just me - whenever a word is combined with "phobia" it implies an annatural or irrational fear of something. "Homophobia" is a word invention of those who wish to apply a demonization to those who oppose the gay lifestyle. Anyone who opposes the gay lifestyle and believes it's a sin, and anyone who speaks out about this sin, is "homophobic."

4. There are many scriptures that will refer to Heaven and how to get there. But if it weren't for the action of the First Adam we wouldn't have had to have Jesus to do what he did. So yeah, we need a savior, everyone must come to the father through Christ.

I've got a question to the previous poster. You keep on saying "G-d", instead of "God". Is this because you don't want to take your lord's name in vain?

I suspect you are right - so does that mean that my pastor shouldn't say "God"?

Can I say His name in conversation? (Afterall - THIS is a conversation.)
