catsmeow,

my wonderful jordy is 15 years old now... a purebred himallayan that was given to me when he was almost a year old. i spoiled him in a different way than you spoil yours, and many himalayan lovers (and even cat lovers) would probably think i'm dispicable. jordy was always an outdoor cat, and while he was afraid of people, he was still king of his territory and got any many cat-fights with strays. poor thing has had an absessed eye and ripped ears over the years, but it just seemed intolerably cruel to keep him trapped indoors.

one day, shortly after moving to vegas, he went outside and we forgot to let him back in. he got lost, for five days. i was in hysterics! i was searching the pictures on the pound website every night to see if he'd been picked up. when he finally came home, he was cold, filthy, hungry, and terrified. judging from the fact that it took two baths to get him clean, i'm guessing he tucked himself up in somebody's engine to stay warm and went for a little ride.

in any case, that was two years ago. he doesn't go outside anymore... by HIS choice! occasionally he'll step out onto the patio, but he runs in like his tail is on fire if he hears a noise outside, or if he hears us start to close the door.

he loves me though. he even gives me kisses. i'll walk by whatever piece of furniture he's laying on and he'll stretch his neck up towards me looking for some lovin'. i'll bend over and put my face in front of his, and he'll nibble my lip LOL. my daughter once said if he were human instead of feline, i'd have married him.

I think there will be animals in heaven the likes of which we can not begin to imagine. Like you, I do not believe my dead pets are there, even though at the ripe old age of 5, I baptised my dog. He was scared and I was determined and we both won out. :D

:unsure::blink::t2::t2:

Thats too funny Trav,

I think where you had your problem tough, is your dog should have repented before you tried baptism. :x:

I would sure hope my dog joins me, but see no scriptural evidence of such. She is a great animal and just loves people. Her full name is Gods grace, but we just call her grace.

(I hope someone here doesn't call me out to find the reference)

I think it is in Isaiah that God tells us that the former will not be remembered (brought into thought).

I think He is saying that we won't even miss our dead relatives who didn't make it to heaven. (there will be no tears after God wipes them all away).

Besides, heaven is not a world like we have here....we will dwell with GOD!!!

If you think right now that you are going to be worried about 'fluffy' or 'spot' in heaven, I would question if you have the correct view of God. I love my cat, but I sure ain't going to ask God if he is there.....I want to worship Jesus!

you're right, we won't remember them in heaven. but we're not there yet, so it's only natural while we're on earth to wonder about it.

We will see things from God's perfect perspective of love, holiness, justice, and mercy. His wisdom will dispel our earthly, limited perspectives.

I think endure4salvation is right. I believe it will not be like as we know here in this existence. We will be in the holy presence of God and worshipping him! Not to say that God did not care about the other things he created, but like someone else said, they were for the pleasures of man. We are His pleasure...and we were created to worship him. Where He is, and where we'll be ...is holy!

Blessings ~

--ISAIAH.11.vss.5.thru.9---------

And righteousness shall be the girdle of HIS loins,and faithfulness the girdle of HIS reins........

The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb,and the leopard shall lie down with the kid;

and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together;and a little child shall lead them......

And the cow and the bear shall feed;their young ones shall lie down together;

and the lion shall eat straw like the ox........

And the suckling child shall play on the hole of the asp,and the weaned child shall put his hand

on the cockatrice' den.........

They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain;for the earth shall be full of

the knowledge of the LORD,as the waters cover the sea........

There will be no more pain, no more tears,no more death,no knowledge of sin,the earth,the stars,

the heavens,the planets, the universes will be ours to enjoy,to see,to learn......

THE RICHNESS,THE FULNESS, THE KNOWLEDGE,THE GREATNESS, THE LOVE OF THE LORD OUR GOD-THE LORD OUR SAVIOUR IS UNFATHOMABLE---------

I have no doubt that we will see all of our little pets again. We have a pet cemetery in our back field. When we bury our pets we make sure that they are facing east because that is the direction Jesus will be coming from. We will know each other as we are known and I believe we will know our pets as they were known. I do not believe they will be in the rapture with us but we never know. We still bury them like that. That is how old people and I think most cemeteries still bury people facing the east. Maybe this sounds silly to some but our pets are a very important part of our life. I feel God gave them to us to care for and so why should it be just the grave for them and nothing else? I think they will be with us someday.

I know the verses Gary gave does not mention dogs, cats, pet lambs, pet goats, pet cows and bulls and the like but I know we will see them again someday.

Cats, I don't know if I ever told you but our Pomeranian that just died was named Cat Balou.

We also have a 12 year old male cat named TC short for Tea Cat. We named him that because if we turn our head he drinks our iced tea. I also found out just last week that he has been drinking my coke all these years. We have had him since he turned 6 weeks old and he is so very spoiled.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
