Emily Anne,

This hug is especially just for you! :whistling:

Stick to your convictions; no matter what; be true to God and to yourself. If we disagree; that's okay; I love you anyway.

Okay, here's some more hugs for you: :24::):emot-heartbeat::emot-hug:

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::emot-hug::emot-hug::emot-hug:

this hug goes to everyone...to ALL my brothers and sisters in Christ....to the lost...to those that consider me their enemy....to the person that others might consider unable to love....to those i may have found unworthy to hug (in the past before i was a child of God)....to those who think that they are not worthy of anyones love...to those who don't love themselves (been there)...to those i have hurt...to those that have hurt me...to those that think God is not real (they truly need a hug(a release of God's love through me))...to those who might be at their "rock bottom"....to those that may be questioning their faith or have questioned it....for the person who might feel misunderstood....for those feeling lonely...feeling deserted....those that feel like a stranger to compassion ....to those needing a little encouragement....a little strength...to those that feel alone in the issues that they may be having in their life....

I could go on and on...but i hope i have made myself understood...i truly mean everyone...

I just want to state some things to get them off my chest. These are meant in love please receive it that way.

I do believe that you should defend your beliefs and do so strongly. You should be willing to defend your beliefs to the death because it might come to that one day...as long as you make sure you've thoroughly considered what you believe to make sure you are, indeed, right. I have often said that I'm always right, even when I'm wrong. And when I realise I'm wrong I change my mind and become right again and defend it with the same attitude I defended my other position. If I'm going to have an opinion or belief which might be wrong, why bother? Why not just say you don't know and be done with it?

And there is something to be said for agreeing to disagree once a discussion has reached a certain point. Sometimes you run against someone who is just as convinced they are correct as you are convinced you are. Once you've considered and refuted their arguments, what is left? If you've considered their arguements and have decided they're wrong but can't prove it, what is left? In either case you just agree to disagree and TRY to respect each other.

This all being what it is, I also believe that taking a counter stand against another's beliefs is not always an exercise in attack, nor is it a personal condemnation. Anyone who knows me knows what I think of at least most WOF teachers and the doctrine itself, and that I am careful to not condemn an individual believer in this forum. Therefore I would hope that anyone who believed in WOF would know that I still love and respect them as a person. If not, I would hope that they would approach me in pm and at least let me know. I am a very outspoken person but I think, over all, it's a good thing.

I have tried to make it known that I don't attack people directly and to be more clear that I'm only discussing doctrine, however...I think the more...um...sensitive among us should also work on their side of the problem too. No matter how flat it is, a pancake has two sides. I would hope that people who find their beliefs countered in a theological or philosophical exercise would at least consider the notion that the person doing this is not condemning them personally and that the exercise is being done out of a desire to understand, refine and perfect the beliefs of the body of Christ and the two persons involved. Most of the time it's done out of love, and I would encourage those who feel "constantly countered" to receive it that way. If your best friend was going to eat food which had been left out in the sun for a week, I'm sure you're going to protest vigorously rather than sit there and just let her eat it, right? Even if she was right and it hadn't rotted, isn't the act still an act of love?

I hope that made some sense and did not offend anyone.

:emot-hug: "He's Still Working On Me" :emot-hug:

He's still working on me to make me what I ought to be.

It took Him just a week to make the moon and stars,

The sun and the earth and Jupiter and Mars.

How loving and patient He must be, He's still working on me.

There really ought to be a sign upon the heart,

Don't judge her yet, there's an unfinished part.

But I'll be perfect just according to His plan

Fashioned by the Master's loving hands.

In the mirror of His Word reflections that I see

Make me wonder why He never gave up on me.

He loves me as I am and helps me when I pray

Remember He's the Potter, I'm the clay.

When a topic gets too heated the mods will delete it.

Wouldnt it be more beficial for the offending posts to be deleted rather than the whole thread? just seen a reasonable thread deleted on love and respect with the Eph 5 v33 thread pulled. there were a couple of heated flames, but nothing to warrent the whole thread going. We have lost alot of interesting debates in past becuase of this. If people want to respond to personal things then do it in PM not on the thread, most people couldnt care less and just think oh dear here we go again.

Sometimes offensive posts are deleted, sometimes the thread is just closed and sometimes the topic is deleted. It depends upon what happens. I have wittnessed all of these. If a thread is going along nicely except for one person's posts or a spammer or troll, they will delete the posts and any which quote it. If a thread which was going nicely suddenly takes a header they will just close it. Sometimes a topic is ascerbic from the beginning and the best response is to just close it.

There is one other situation where an entire thread will get axed:

There are times when the bad posts are so intertwined with the good that deleting out the bad makes the final product so full of holes that it's impossible to repost the thread. Some of the stuff now missing makes the responses to them look way out of whack, rendering the thread too splintered to make sense.

That's another reason why you may see threads deleted instead of just a few posts.

Hope this helps!

t.

PS- Sometimes they also delete threads just because it's funny to listen to the people get mad about it......

Just kidding!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
