The Unitarian Universalist cult is the result of the joining of the Unitarian religion with the Universalists. The Unitarians got their start in the sixteenth century. At that time, in central Europe, a group of humanists reviewed the Bible. Finding no mention of the word

I believe one reason that increasing numbers of Christians seem to be embracing universalism is because they themselves are not living as they should. They call themselves Christians but live nowhere near how they should. They know this. They then see others who are not Christians living basically the same life that they are. They reason, rightly, that God would not send one person to hell, but then send them to heaven when they are both living the same way. Instead, what they should be doing is confronting their own sin and worldliness. But that seems to hard. It is easier to just lower the standards so that basically everybody gets in.

My best friend is a Unitarian Universalist and I am ok with whatever he chooses to believe. I do not believe he is going to hell, I am actually very interested in their beliefs. You can be a Christian and a Universalist, its basically bonding all religions in the hopes of a peaceful world. You are absolutely arrogant if you cant cope with what other people choose to believe.

Hello Chazy:

If you know JESUS CHRIST as your SAVIOUR, this may help you gain a better understanding of your friend's beliefs:

Wisdom, one small problem with that article...

If theres one thing I always try to do, its look at things from an un-biased opinion. Your article is written by Christian Ministries, so obviously you are dealing with some biased issues there. You guys make them seem like a disease that is taking over the world and destroying everything in its path. Ouch.

Chazy:

Thank you for responding, however, the choice of what one chooses to believe, or not to believe is up to the individual. A personal note....I am very bias when it comes to lining up the issues of saving a life from eternal separation from the CREATOR of all things.

Whether the article gets accepted by a person really isn't the issue. No...instead it is if you as a person believe who JESUS CHRIST is, and if you accept HIS free gift of salvation. (Romans 10:9-10)

I often tell people that if they never set foot in a church or join a particular denomination it doesn't relieve them of the responsibility of individually choosing to believe/not believe GOD's Word for themselves. WE all come to that crossroad. You are there now.

We will ALL face JESUS CHRIST as our SAVIOUR or JUDGE (Hebrews 9:27). The choice is not only ours as to how we do, but if we already profess/claim to know HIM as our SAVIOUR we have a command to study HIS Word (2 Timothy 2:15) in order to discern false doctrine.

All I have to say is that my friend goes to church every sunday, he goes on street runs giving food to the homeless, he helps in food drives, attends youth group, helps build houses in third world countries, and basically volunteers for anything and everything he can help with. All I have done this entire year was volunteered for 14 hours straight at a cancer fundraising event... And my friend was right next to me volunteering as well. So maybe what im trying to say is he is a much better person/Universalist than I am person/Christian. And thats implying that my beliefs are Christian. As one of my favourite quotes says "Dont judge what you dont understand".

This comes back to the "why did Jesus preach to the spirits in prison(hell)" discussion. Is it possible that there is salvation for people that repent in the hereafter? You know that the word translated "forever" when it talks about the judgements on the wicked actually meant "an age" or "ages". An age or ages is not forever.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
