I do, however, disbelieve in the Bible's God due to its numerous self-contradictions. I believe the Bible's God is an unfortunate relic from the Bronze Age, and it should have been let there.

Now tell me do: What are these contradictions? The Bible is infallible and totally non-contradictory.

And if we showed you the contradictions, you'd skim over them and give a pre-programmed, ultra-dogmatic insulting response.

Hardly. You can expect the truth.

Actually, I fault the believers for not offering anything to the world.

I fault myself and the rest of the church for the way we treat one another when we fail.

I fault myself and the rest of the church for the lack of evidence of God in our lives.

If any of us actually lived up to what we claim we are supposed to be as christians, then maybe they would actually have a reason to bother listening.

If any of use evidenced the Gifts of the Spirit the way we are supposed to, adn the way the first century church did, then there would be indesputable evidence in every church, and on every street corner.

Speak for yourself, hon. There are plenty of us who go about preaching the Word of God every day. You are right in admonishing the Church to come up higher in faith, but there are millions of us who are obedient to the call, and love the Lord fervently, seeking to please Him alone, asking Him to make their lives a testament to Jesus Christ and His love and the truth of His salvation, and who are filled with the power of the Holy Spirit who makes them conquerors of the first order! OH HALLELUJAH!

1 John 5:19...

We know that we are children of God and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.

Then why doesn't anyone evidence the power in their life like the passage of scripture to which your screen name is a reference?

Why is the church a social club instead of actually having any real impact in the world today?

There are more ALLEGED christians today than at any time in the past, yet there is LESS Biblical principle evidenced today than at any time in the past. Why is that?

Evidence? There is plenty of evidence! God continues to work His power in and through the lives of His very own...everyday!

Alas, there are many churches that have failed Jesus' mandate and become nothing more than a social club. I see them! I refuse to become a part of them. You must also.

Re: your "alleged" comment: Alleged refers to those who have taken Christ mentally only. Nominal Christians, I call them. They lack the power of God in their lives because they do not KNOW Him, and most importantly, He doesn't KNOW them. I believe there is a great surge of believers in the world today who the Lord is raising up to proclaim the Truth of God's love and salvation. Jesus is coming soon.

Rather than lament at the negative things you see, let's join together and live for Jesus Christ, who reigns! Let's show the world that we are King's Kids, and we have the keys to the Kingdom! Let's bring them in! Amen?

As to the reference to my screen name: My axehead floats! Because of the life-changing power of the God I serve, those things the devil meant to use to hold me down have been vanquished! I am risen with Christ in God:

Colossians 3:1

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.

Colossians 3:3

For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

1 Corinthians 2:14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things

that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he

cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Now, I KNOW God is just and correct. I don't care what he does or doesn't do, he's right for doing it.

no one said Life was fair....

Job didnt think so,

Joseph, i am sure, didnt think so,

Jesus, knew so.....

it is not wrong to complain, but we must do it and get over it....

remember God wants that personal, one on one relationship with us.... this means He wants to know everything about us, and He wants us to confide in Him.... He wants us to crawl up on His lap and tell Him about our entire day, the good, the bad and everything that happens..... not that he dont already know, but most of the time, when the good stuff hhappens, we dont share it with Him, He wants to know.... He wants to know about our heart breaks, our joyous times and everyting...

just like He already knows what we need and want, He is waiting for us to ask.....

we know our children get hungry, but we dont always feed them until the ask.... hmmmmm

we know that we get hungry, but do we always ask? or do we always thank the Provider??? hmmm

life is unfair, ......... or is it really unfair???? are we really getting what we deserve?

something to think about

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
