Greetings Butterfly,

Why are we born sinners?

What verse are you referring to? I know that we are born in sin, even INTO sin, but where does it say that humankind was BORN SINNERS?

In any case, the reason we sin is based in the following:

Romans 8:19-23 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. 20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, 21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. 23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

Even Adam was in bondage to the flesh. He and WE groan for the redemption of our body because it is tied to THIS WORLD and its desires are to "mind the flesh". Whereas God would have us "mind Him".

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

We are cast out unto the earth to learn just like Adam and Eve. We

are born into sin.

Hi Butterfly :il:

Why are we born sinners? is a new born baby a sinner or are they protected until age of accountablity?

Deuteronomy 1:39

"Moreover your little ones and your children, who you say will be victims, who today have no knowledge of good and evil, they shall go in there; to them I will give it, and they shall possess it.

This is when the tribes of Israel where in the desert and refused to go into the Promised Land because of fear of it's inhabitants. God decided to punish the people by forcing them to wonder in the desert for 40 years so that all of the generation that had refused to enter the Promised Land would die and never enter it. But as he says above about the little ones

"WHO TODAY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL"

This is the crucial statement from God about the little ones (BABIES) they are innocent.

Yeahua made an interesting statement concerning little ones too.

Matthew 18:10

"Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.

Paul wrote

Romans 7

9I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died. 10And the commandment, which was to bring life, I found to bring death. 11For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it killed me.

Paul is clearly saying that he once was alive without the law this was when he was a little one. Once Paul came to the understanding of Good and Evil his carnal nature came to the fore.

2 Samuel 12

21Then his servants said to him, "What is this that you have done? You fasted and wept for the child while he was alive, but when the child died, you arose and ate food." 22And he said, "While the child was alive, I fasted and wept; for I said, "Who can tell whether the LORD will be gracious to me, that the child may live?' 23But now he is dead; why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me."

A child doesn't know the difference between right or wrong just as a mentally handicapped person doesn't in many cases. We will all be judged upon the amount of light received and while a child may know of Christ, they are simply not mentally capable of understanding such weighty matters nor making decisions thereon meaning God will allow them into His presence.

Do you think Christ could judge a baby or small child when the time comes ? I have always been taught that there is the age of accountability - also affecting mentally deficient people.

Hi,

I believe babies and little children are protected under Gods justice and mercy. God is a Just and Merciful God. God is not this mean and cruel judge that cast babys that dont know right from wrong into hell.

Paul said in the bible that there was a time in his life where he was alive without the law, but when he gained knowlege of the law or what God commands then he died because he relized that he was guilt of the law.

Rom 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.

I believe Paul is referring to a time in his life where he was a live without the knowledge of the law. I believe this is referring to his childhood before he learned right from wrong.

I dont believe God hold's people accountable to sin that they are not aware of. This would not be just of God if he held you accountable of sin that your not aware of.

I believe Children fall into this catagory that do not understand fully right and wrong therefore are alive without the law.

When Adam and Eve where in the Garden of Eden. If God would have never told them not to eat of the tree of Knowlege then they would not be guilt of breaking Gods commands because they had no knowlege of Gods commands. (Wow thats alot of double negatives!)

I agree that babies are born innocent. There is much scriptural evidence to suggest this, as has been quoted.

And I also think that a 8 year old has no sins to repent from, and therefore should not be baptized. Becoming a Christian is an adult decision and a 5 year old has no idea what it means to be a sinner.

Because Adam sinned against the Lord and desired the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, sin became our inheritance through the knowledge of evil (temptations?) did it not? All of mankind inherited the curse and the temptation to sin. Isn't that right? But of course those who don't have any knowledge of evil like a baby, would not be accountable but any normal person who outlives that stage would naturally be accountable because you become aware of right and wrong. I would say that "born in sin" is a generalisation for the overall state of mankind.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
