Ah but it could, the Bible tells us that the false prophet who supports the antichrist will have the ability to do signs and wonders, even bring fire down from heaven (but not of his own power). Now when you look at how many people who are looking for 'signs' from God to prove that he is God, then the opening is there for the taking. And many will be deceived, if the false prophet claims to be Jesus (which I believe he will claim to be) and deceives even the Jews then he will have to be Jewish in order to convince them that he is Jesus. Revelation 13:11 tells us that the second beast (false prophet) had two horns like a lamb. Jesus is identified as the Lamb of God thus the false prophet identified as a lamb. Of course this will all be a lie but will seem real to those that doesn't know the real Christ.

If we ever see a Muslim leader bringing in a seven year peace treaty with Israel, and is being supported by a Rabbi then people better open their eyes to whats happening. :24:

Be specific. Who is "Mahdi"? and what did he do?

If you read the article it explains more about who he is and what Muslims are expecting from him. Quoted from the article

In short, when he reappears, peace, justice and security will overcome oppression and deceit and one global government, the most perfect ever, will be established," it said.

The Bible tells us that the antichrist will come in peaceably. :24:

I think we at the door of such an event! If you stop to think about it have you ever saw :) so many things fall into place in the middle east. That bold statement that the Iranian Presdent makes me really wonder how could anyone make such a bold statement without knowing something!

Whats worrying is that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has also stated before that he believes that he's been chosen to lead the great 'bloodshed' that will usher in their "Mahdi" that will bring peace throughout the world afterwards. What did he mean by this I don't know, but I think Satan certainly has a hand in it. :emot-hug:

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house. 

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
